Steam updated RE2/RE3 Remake and RE7 yesterday (plus I updated RE7 on my Xbox Series X and RE2 on my PS5 too) so I tried all three this morning with my new RTX 3080 graphics card and was pleased to find that all three games run at 100-120 fps at 1440p with everything maxed out and RT set to High (FSR 1.0 was disabled). I did not notice much in the way of RT effects in RE2 or RE7 from the save points I was at but in RE3 I was playing as Carlos in the hospital section and that area has lots of reflective windows, floors and so on and the RT reflections especially were very noticeable (because obviously I was looking out for them as I played). Looks nice but the effect is rather subtle if I'm honest and if I wasn't aware that the game had RT effects then I would almost certainly have missed them. I thought I saw some areas were the character model was not reflected in certain rooms but then there were many other rooms were he was so maybe those were bugs?
Very subtle difference using the rt in all resident evil games but they are optimized so well it runs on most cards.
For the small ammount of testing RE2, at 1440P i can keep a constant 60fps on my 6700XT with everything on Max and RT on High. Extremely suprised of the result as I was expecting an slideshow at best. LOL.
