Astyanax you said it was BSOD. But event log not show any bugcheck . And there is not any folder Windows/minidump,and not Windows/memory.dmp.

    Only windows/livekernelreports/pow32kwatchdog.dmp <--- only this

During reboot i dont saw a bluescreen,it just reboot simply.

My last question. Still that reboot was due to --> pow32kwatchdog.dmp ?

    PS:
Yeah i am more relaxed but i am currently in work and i asked last time to be sure :) :) :) thanks and sorry for problem

invoking the system exception handler relies on being able to load the driver, if your system was resource exhausted it will just go straight to a reboot.

you cant just leave it there. is the issue resolved? is ur system overclocked? it seems also a hardware issue. run a stress test except the gpu

Hey guys. Just ask sorry for refresh topic. I get second crash ,but this time not DRIVER crash but BUGTRAP crash in game in 20 hour in game.

I left running Metro Exodus for hours ,when i go to work. When i back after 21 hours i see it crashed exactly on 20 hour in running. I left running game in EPISODE DDESERT ( 3 ).

Crash is something about c0000005 - memory access violation.

    NULL POINTER WRITE.

Not driver crash. Event log nothing about driver crash. Just BUGTRAP crash.

    Screen from debugger:

Gaming sessions should never be larger than 2, 4, 6 or 8 hours straight at best without restarting or shutting down. That's an old but golden rule.

ah ok :). So no reason to mess with PRIME 95? I tested only Realbench and memtest86 and RAMTEST without issues.

Bro, you need to focus and answer the questions people are asking you.

rubbish, games can run constantly - this is a kernel oom crash.

Ask a pro developer, if it is normal to have a game running even idle 24h/7d. He will troll you hard to smithereens. :)

  12. On the contrary, we have our games running 24/7 on devktis, even during holidays. If there is a crash, someone has to investigate.

And to OP, if it's just Metro, I wouldn't bother.
But to me, it looks like either driver or memory issue. I'd probably slightly increase voltage on memory modules or relax timings and continue from there.

I'll recommend to his employer that he be terminated and someone with a clue hired in his place.

There's a sporadic rare memory leak in the nvidia driver container that might be responsible for all of the crashes here, once the process consumes all commit driver and runtime allocations can just fault and take down the machine.

@ManuelG can you get this build in the test labs and try to reproduce these crashes, i don't suspect the kernel driver to be involved specifically but this does look like crash behavior experienced in previous 4xx drivers due to the container/nvapi bugs.

OK happened again ( second time ) but this time after 12 hours. Crashdumps are in Metro Exodus save games folder.

Crash is something about c0000005 - memory access violation.

    NULL POINTER WRITE.

Not driver crash. Event log nothing about driver crash. Just BUGTRAP crash.

But i tested memtest86,RAMTEST,REALBENCH and no issues.

Only in Metro Exodus this happen on chapter 3 DESERT. No in other games.Other games i can run 24h no crash.

I'm a pro developer. Nothing should crash or OOM if left for 24 hours.

Why you would want to leave a game running idle for 24 hours, I have no idea. This guy needs to stop trying to break his computer...

EPISODE 3 : desert is bugged. I tested for many hours now TAIGA level and no crashing no matter how many hours. So its related to game i think.

But it crashing.Left game running in CASPIAN DESERT for 24 hours and see. You will get crash. On Taiga level no crashing even 24 hours.

Also i tested Unigine Heaven, 3dmark firestrike,Port Royal,Quake 2 RTX, Shadow of TOmb Raider,Control,Wolfenstein and i can left for 1000000 hours + and it will never crash.

ITs Metro thing.Null exception pointer is not hardware thing.
Metro Exodus is one of the more unstable games when it comes to bugs, memory leaks and crashes. Leaving it running for that long is bound to produce issues.

Ok fair enough . I think all is clear. No reason to investigate more. Game is playable for me. Just no left game running in Desert Caspian for 12-24 hours ;)

I'm asking again... is your cpu or gpu overclocked? ram volts, timmings running default?

any game should not be crash no matter how long you play or idle...
