Next year's Rdna^2 lowest of below range is equal to RTX Titan. Nvidia Corp is trembling.

On a serious note, about time.. but when it comes nv 3000 series comes too, so.. looks like AMD will stay 1 step behind like usual.

Nvidia has no issues, it just works. It also have that retro look from 2002.

I've never had an issue with their drivers. Anyone really care about VR tests? It has been common for AMD to Jump over Nvidia every so many years with a killer Card 3870X2, etc.

    Hilarious

On a serious note... ~30% faster than a standard, non-overclocked 2080 Ti should place it well enough vs nv 3000 series, if the price is right.

If priced to be disruptive, that could be very nice - a card that wrecks the beastly 2080 Ti is plenty powerful for most...)

I'd honestly say, I don't think you will be to far off the mark. That sort of performance will welcomed with open arms.

  10. So....AMD, that as of now hasn't resolved their widely-known defective RDNA-1 clock-gating implementation. Has created a 2080 ti killer?

That jealously. You nvidia users are those who wow'ed and squirt each time Jensen shout, "RTX ON/RTX OFF. It just works!" Let us have the best drivers and software, keep your Alice dream world.

.... or not. Only time will tell.

As I am not a VR user, is there a "structural" difference between a VR benchmark and a "normal" one? As in, do they just render a different resolution with generally the same settings as a normal picture on a monitor, or do things like variable shading rates etc. and lower details come into play? A serious question, this is meant to be.

Gotta say I really disliked nvidia drivers quite a bit. Not saying AMD has perfect ones far from it. Kind of crap both.

Not gunna lie, when I picture the 3dfx DNA in my nvidia card and I see that RTX on logo and some fancy reflections, I get a half-chub.

Unless there is a risk of you breaking your keyboard/monitor, watch the video I attached on page 1...

I'd honestly just be happy if they had a card that could perform at 2080Ti levels. I'd certainly buy it if it was around 800 US.

Isn't this a trick? Using a mobile APU chip means that some benchmarks will show up with the iGPU and not the dGPU in the results even when its using the dGPU. So this could be someone testing Ampere with the new Ryzen mobile chip. Think about it? Why would anyone pair a monster desktop class GPU with a mobile chip??

I seriously hope this is true, I want to get off Nvidia.

Supposedly Ampere will be "50% faster than Touring"..... That would make this magical AMD GPU less impressive....

As was stated in the quote on page 1, it's unlikely someone is using an ES CPU from AMD and an ES GPU from NVidia in the same system..... It's more likely that they're running a pair of ES chips from AMD.
