If you insist on staying intel, I wouldn't get anything less than a 9900k

You asked for opinions, and we delivered.
Doesn't mean that those opinions will be exactly what you want to hear/read.
The RAM was chosen as a good balance $/performance and know to OC a bit.
As I offered a Ryzen platform, on that platform anything 3600 simply doesn't bring any real benefits. So, that RAM I specifically chosen is cheaper, goes easily @3600 when OC and is RAM after all. No point in spending for the sake of spending.
On the cooler, that cooler offers massive heatsink ( it's bonkers huge) and is able to dissipate heat at very low fan speeds. Cooler, dead whisper quiet, what's not to like?
And I suggested the Ryzen platform for PCI-E 4.0 support, that's something you want 5 years down the road. Combine that with the NVME drive I've suggested, and you have a wicked fast computer. But what do we know, we are just gurus, floating in the air levitating as we meditate.
Here at Guru3D we tend to squeeze performance from every component, and if possible, not overspend. Because technology, whatever the components, later on goes obsolete. How much money you want to render obsolete? We try to find a fine balance between so many factors.
And as above if you want to go Intel, go big or go home. Bro...

Going AMD for the CPU/motherboard also gives you an upgrade path to Ryzen 4000 later down the line. It pays in the long run to look past brand loyalties.

I'll steer away from Intel, their actual platform is anything but future proof.
No upgrade path, no PCI-E 4.0, and a bit more expensive overall.
But it's your money, do as you please.

We offered advice and alternative, and we broke down WHY you should considerate a Ryzen.
Nevertheless, you still want to go Intel. And I'm ok with that. Go Intel.
Now, you say that is too expensive, yet the PcPart list was insanely over expensive and overboard for building a fast, balanced computer.
We refined the list and yet you choose to go in your direction, like ignoring the advices you asked for.
I will not pretend that people should follow to the letter whatever advices get from forums, but I pretend to perceive that one gets the logic behind reason and reality.
Wanna go Intel and ignore all the above?
Pay up and get on with it.
Don't waste our time, because this is the overall impression you give after all said here. Bro...

  14. Need to rethink storage. Either get bigger sata ssd's, or get one nvme for system drive and and bigger storage drive. 750 gb (less with overhead) is not much storage space with games taking up 30 to 70 gigs each these days. Forget the 1000w power supply (that you did not include the price of) Get like a titanium rated 750w seasonic. Get a better cpu cooler (gonna put a 30 dollar cooler on a 400 dollar cpu?). That is a terrible price on that video card.....can get a nicer evga for like $550-$600. Spending waaaaay too much on keyboard, mouse, headphones. If you are looking for things to cut to afford better hardware, start there. I have to agree with Anti on the build, its a better deal for sure.

It's your money. Whatever floats your boat.
My opinion that your choice is overboard and you are overspending for reaching the same goal stands.
    You are wasting your money.
I guess I should say enjoy.

Genuine question, is there a specific reason why you want to go Intel? We're trying to save you money, an awful lot of your parts don't make much sense (I'd question the choice of an RTX 2070 at that price too, frankly). It sounds like you already knew what you wanted before making the thread and are looking for reaffirmation.

Don't really care which multinational company you go with, it's just strange to willfully pay more when you don't need to, then ask for advice anyway.

There lots of important information missing in this post.

What the PC will be used for? what is target FPS? (Monitor refresh rate). If your monitor is 60hz, getting 9900K for 60fps in games makes no sense, since it will be overkill.

Do you plan to do any professional work? If yes, each application has it own preferred architectures and might benefit by going Intel or AMD. So you have to keep that in mind.

This thread is so far just about a butthurt @anticupidon having a hard time to swallow the fact you prefer Intel.

Hope it helps you in future when you building another rig.

@sverek you saw that others also offered Ryzen and asked why OP wants an Intel CPU.
Also, I said that I am ok with both choices.
The initial and last part list contains overpriced components. And also others pointed out this.
The overall tone and direction of the thread
I want advice, but I'll ignore the very advice I'll ask for. Bro...
Also, OP asked for a part list for a computer that should be relevant 5 years down the road - logically I offered PCI-E 4.0. If Intel has it, why not, but that just not the case.
    That and overspending.
But whatever man, if I am butthurt as you say.
Yes, your point is valid, we don't have a specific purpose for the build. And if one follows all my answer will quickly realize that I am not biased or shilling for one brand or company.
If anyone was offended, I'll apologize.
Sverek, if that what's you concluded.
it's your opinion and I'll respect that.

You just gave him a list of Ryzen built, without figuring out what his needs are.

This thread is basically like this:

    Code:
    OP: I want BLUE!
    anticupidon: NO GET RED!
    OP: BUT BLUE!!
    anticupidon: bah, ok....
    OP: YAY!! BLUE WTF!
instead it could of been like this:

    Code:
    OP: I want BLUE!
anticupidon: what your needs, monitor reso/refreshrate, running games, programs, multitasking?
    OP: AHM... xxx, zzz, yyyy
anticupidon: well, you don't really need to spend that much money for Intel for xxx, zzz, yyyy tasks, since Ryzen will get them done for much lower price and better performance!
    OP: YAY!! RED WTF!
