The 10 best games of the past 10 years

I dont agree with the list.

 

Witcher 3 is the best game of the decade, not on the list.

 

Pokémon Go is probably the only one of them that has caused the death or serious injury of multiple people.

 

A very dissapointing list. Really shows how empty, flat and soulless is modern "gaming".
Here's my take on this "great" list:

Grand Theft Auto V - ok'ish
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild - maybe will try at one point.
Fortnite - idiotic trash.
Dark Souls - great.
League of Legends - idiotic trash.
Pokémon Go - idiotic trash.
Minecraft - autistic trash.
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - good, but with lots of mods. Out of the box - trash.
Portal 2 - good for one play through.
Disco Elysium - overrated.

 

Whose list is this? Either way the lack of the Witcher 3 makes it null and void.

 

Poor list, i think most of us will disagree.

I'm guessing whoever made this list didn't actually play them (or just tried them for a bit).
Some are okay to place on such list but most are not.

Haven't played any of them except GTA-V.
And no Witcher 3? This list is a big joke.
League of Legends? why not Dota 2 then?
Fortnite? PUBG is better.
Legends of Zelda? never heard of it.
Dark Souls? just because game is hard? There are many other RPGs which is similar if You play in hardest difficulty.

 

Hardly the best game of the generation. it's a fantastic game, but, there are plenty of gems games across the board. This list thou pathetic.

 

This of course depends on what type of games you like playing so any list is not going to be ideally suited, and that even ignores the bias of the people doing the list.

The worst games of the last 10 years perhaps has more common agreement ironically. Fools gold perhaps easier to spot than the real thing....

For me a really innovative game that still stands the test of time for a new player is something to be admired. The original Portal does that. And even for someone who has played it, the quirkiness makes it still fun for a quick whirl, like watching a repeat of an old tv show that is still funny.

The top games of the last 10 years are the ones you think are. End of story. Otherwise we all will just be buying a small number of games.

 

Yeah...fortnite third - I wonder who voted for this listing...
Where are The witcher series, Black Ops, Tomb Raider, Borderlands series and so on...
If we are talking about THE BEST and not the most popular then this listing is seriously flawed...Seriously man...

doom (2016) - oh that soundtrack, solid shooter
tomb raider series reboot - pushing graphical fidelity with each release and gameplay is quite fun.
cities skyline - this is my fav, its a nice city building sim with tons of dlc, its relatively simple to start and deceptively hard to master
horizon zero dawn - this game looks amazing and the game setting is nice
the last of us - great story telling, the gameplay is solid too.
resident evil 7 - new engine made the game super spooky and a new take on the zombie genre.
metro 2033 LL exodus - great story telling ---arrrtyommm and a solid shooter
deus ex human revolution - Awesome story and gameplay

theres more but my mind is blank now

 

I've no idea how those 10 games have been chosen or what the criteria was. But I'm convinced that no matter what 10 games you choose for a " Best of the Decade " title, it will cause anger for... Name a reason.

Personally I can't even remember what game I played and loved 10 years ago.

Spoiler: Except for

Vampire The Masqurade: Bloodlines
This is the only title I know I have replayed multiple times since its release. But that is from 2004. So not this decade

edit; Assassins Creed 2 & Brotherhood was released back in 2010. And I know I played those a lot. Actually surprised not a single Ubisoft game since then seems to have been mentioned.

 

This list seems to be broken.

 

Gta 5 (not a very good sp story vs gta 4 sp story ) is on 1st place thx to Gtx online.
