Does OverdriveN Tool allow me to set the P7 as both min/max state for example? It doesn't really show in the screenshots you guys occasionally post of it.

Be carefull at full gaz vegas cant keep max clocks, they will shut down, you dont want max clocks you want to have almost max clocks.

the more you raize p7 the more clocks you get. for example 1715mhz will get you 1650 clock +- but you are geting to the limit of the vrm, so water cooling is a must have.

My red devil at full tilt does 380 to 400w . Be carefull with the psu you have

Best Gaming settings for any Vega56/64:

    OverdriveN Tool

    P5 1552MHz 975-1000v
    P6 1602MHz 1012-1045v
    P7 1650MHz 1081-1150v

    HBM2 at 1000-1100MHz 945-1000mV
    +1 up to +25% POW

Test Your Voltages in some Gaming scenario or in 3Dmark.

Use @OnnA setings. There is no point going full tilt. Use HBCC with 16g allocated or 12 if you only have 16g of ram.

If you have 2020 drivers click auto oc and get a value from it then do the same to hbm.

Hbm value you can mark it as your max and you can always use it.
gpu value for example 1715 you will take 50mhz from it and undervolt the core and 25% powerslider.

After this is stable happy days.

I don't want to 'raise' P7, I rather leave it at it's default 1632. I mentioned before in this topic that my Core overclocks/undervolts terribly. I can't lower the P7-voltage below 1170 or it WILL crash. But locking the Core P7 state as both min and max was perfectly stable so far in Skyrim SE, Train Simulator 2020, and the Transport Fever 2 beta at least, and temps were easily manageable. But these aren't the most graphically intensive games, just not that well optimised, and they stutter when the P-states/clocks fluctuate too much, so they NEED to have their P-states locked.

My PSU is a Seasonic P-1200 Platinum, so I'm not worrying too much about it...

The VRAM does 1080MHz/975mV without any issues.

I wasn't looking for any overclocking advise right now (already got it a while ago!), but thanks anyway!

I just wanted to know if there's a workaround for the lack of 2020's setting the min/max P-states, like it was used to be possible in the previous drivers (right-click P-state, set Min or Max)… But I'll try this OverdriveN-tool!

EDIT: Tried OverdriveN, but it doesn't let me lock P-states. Maybe I'm missing something here, but it looks like it offers the same options as 'Radeon Settings Performance Tuning (formerly 'Wattman') does.

Anyone have OCing issues with latest drivers?

Nevermind... uninstalled and reinstalled seems to have fixed issue.

I noticed that I'm getting better max boost now with (1670's vs 1650s) setting I have been using. Scores for benching have went up alittle. Wonder if OCing has improved?

Well OC/UV settings are not stable with new drivers... getting random crashes to desktop during games which defaults the drivers. Settings were rock solid with previous drivers. I have such a love/hate relationship with this card. Cant wait for Big Navi to show up so I can move on....

where do you see this freq? cos AFAIK many monitor progs are reporting wrong. for example I use hwInfo but I can see that it reports much higher sometimes than it is in reality. I don't know if AB lies also cos I stopped using it after I started using AMD graphic card.

So with a little UV/OC Vega64 is faster than 5700 and little slower than 5700XT.... sound about right. No bad for a 2+ yr old card.

    Incredible, really.

Don't look at the clocks, I need to tweak this card now.

you got luck with yours. Mine has unmolded die and its crap. heat spot goes 40 diference from edge die. cant solve the issue. I can keep 1650mhz all day long stable and 1175mhz hbm2.

Happy days with your vega. With oc its a 5700 oc performance

From what i've seen even the 5700 non-xt is faster than Vega64. You can even flash it to XT and 10% more free performance.

Vega is 2Yas Old uArch now, but still great Performer...

    Note:
...Especially in Low Level APIs like VLK or DX12 :p

    I can maintain 100FPS+ in Forza H3/H4 & MS7 NP
    ~80-90FPS in SotTR DX12 etc.

Big Navi must be 1440p 120FPS+ GPU or i will skip upgrading.... (im looking at Lows 0.1%)
    Another words: 2080Ti/Titan Performance.

Happy with 71-74FPS Gaming so far on Vega.
