Looks neat, I think a lot of games are really suited for an XCOM-like make-over. Would be very interested in a Halo Tactics game, for instance. As it stands, I just flew through XCOM2: War of the Chosen this month, so I've had my fill for a while, but it's nice to see the Gears IP being used for something different.
Given how The Coalition has completely screwed up Gears 5 with post launch patches, I can't say I'm looking forward to this one. I still can't believe how awesome Gears 5 ran at launch time, whereas now it runs like complete ass.
The Coalition and Splash Damage studios. Not a very good combination indeed. Non of these studios has any experience in turn based strategy games.
I like the concept of a prequel to the original Gears of War. Hopefully there won't be any insect-like creatures from Gears 4 and 5. They should update Gears 5 with weapons and gear modes from Gears Tactics.
