    In no way. I like it very much but needs some fixes.

    I installed mine right on top of my old driver and everything is smooth sailing for me! This is one of the least buggy drivers I've ever used on AMD. It's pretty much flawless in my testing. I messed with it a ton last night and it was fast and stable.

    One thing I wish though. If you're recording your microphone with ReLive and exit the game to the desktop, the microphone is still in use so the system will not go to sleep. You have to boot a game back up, turn off the mic recording function and THEN exit the game to get the mic usage to go away.

    I'd been having some really frustrating desktop freeze/explorer.exe crashes which I finally traced to having VSR enabled and this driver resolves the problem and so far has worked flawlessly :)

    Anyone found out how to 'lock' P-states within the 'new' Wattman, like it used to be possible (and necessary in older games) before?

    Anyone figure out how to use Integer scaling or know if it can be toggled on/off while the game is still running like RIS? I've tried a few 2D games and not seeing anything change.

    Funny thing i noticed: while watching fullscreen youtube in my main browser, vivaldi, i'm getting screen tearing and amd software overlay is active. Never had it before.

    Thanks for the hint, Grim!
    Seen this UI on a 4K display - great for vision impaired!

    Better upscaling from lower resolution to higher for older titles which should reduce the rounding errors ("smoothing" ?) though it has it's uses only in some specific situations say 1920x1080 on a 3840x2160 display.

    EDIT: I'm no expert on it either but it's a let's see now earlier scaling method although primarily for lower than native resolutions up to native if these are even integers so 4x like 1920x1080 -> 3840x2160 it's not a scaling method you should need other than on a per-app basis in mainly older often 2D titles using a lower than native supported resolution and then these can be scaled up.

    If it's not even I believe the description stated AMD uses centered mode.

    EDIT: Ah I'm no good with explanations. :D

    Integer based upscaling so 1x and 2x and so on even numbers thus 2x2 or 4x 1920x1080 -> 3840x2160

    Not float or 1.x based like 1920x1080 -> 2560x1440 or ~1.34x rounded up and smoothed thus less sharp. :)

    Guessing it's not intended for VSR/downsampling either even if 1920x1080 VSR'd to 3840x2160 would be nice and round hah.

    Should have a somewhat sharper look as a result mainly for older titles and when GPU scaling can do it's thing with this.

    Maybe on vega there isnt that many gains to be had but on navi i am seeing huge gains and fixes

    afterburner fan control works properly, vsr no longer locks framerate to a 1/3 plus more

    Just an update,
    I have started working on DDU to correctly support this driver release. There are some changes compared to the others drivers.
    There is not much to do but real life work keep me a little busy.
    I should have this ready on weekend.

    Various changes to the JSON install file at least but it could just have been thrown around a bit as most of the data seems to be there but in other places from how this file got generated.

    Old version.
    19.50.02-191204a-349464C

    New version.
    19.50.02-191204a-349467C

    It does however look like the HWCheck whatever it is was filled out, might fix the install error some users encountered. :)

    Lots of stuff like this so kinda hard to tell really but it's expanded upon in the new driver.

    "HWCheck" : [
    "*-0x1309-*-0x1002-*-*-*-*",

    So more GPU's get detected as more hardware ID's of sorts or what these correspond to (Device ID's?) are now part of the install script possibly.

    EDIT: Part of the INF as well although from it here this stuff is mainly Navi 14 variants and what looks like mobile support.

    This got changed.

    AMD7340.1 = "Radeon RX 5500 XT"

    to this.

    AMD7340.1 = "AMD Radeon RX 5500"

    And these were added.

    AMD7340.2 = "Radeon RX 5500M"
    AMD7340.3 = "Radeon RX 5300M"
    AMD7340.4 = "Radeon RX 5500"

    And various models for these far as I can tell.

    EDIT: A re-release to support OEM's then and a different device name for the 5500 maybe.
    (EDIT: Earlier version was already signed so that's nothing new with the driver files themselves.)

    So, no point at all to update if older one installed?)
