Well that's some good timing, I was looking at getting one of these for my new build. Finger crossed I guess.

I won the Noctua pack that included a couple chromax fans and a D15S three years ago. That cooler is still working great on my old 2600k rig that I gave to a friend.

Same here, my D15 (normal coloring) is cooling my 2400G... a bit overkill, but hey, it works!
Also thanks to Noctua for this giveaway by offering the product, they also sent me adaption brackets twice (bought the D15 and got an LGA1336 and AM4 bracket for free on two seperate occasions, very nice customer support).

Yes it’s always much better when active members that have a stake in this community win the contests.

I mean I totally agree, at least a minimum amount of activity and not "last minute" new accounts should win, but honestly, I didn't know that this was a rule. Guess I skipped the small print there

Yes, just write to them and receive a mounting kit for your current socket after sending in the invoice of the purchase (motherboard).
Otherwise the kits are about 6 or 7 Euros on Amazon. Still better than buying a new cooler. ;)

Same here! It is still cooling the 2600k@4.7GHz in my brothers rig. I could certainly use a bigger cooler for my toasty non-delidded 4770k, I hit 100C in about 3 seconds in AVX workloads...

there is lots of silent shadow readers like me, I don't argue about if it's fair or not to include people like me in the contest, but I think such rules just create a lot junk posts

    thank you Hilbert

My bad then. I really though you need exact number of posts/likes to enter. It was your rule last year if i remember correctly.

We had one competition for guru3d forum regulars, that one had such limitations applied.
