design wise its ugly
i am guessing its not easy to shape the exoskeleton-design
speaking exoskeleton is that "cool-name" for unibody ?

anyway when accident happen, this truck will likely crush other standard-truck... if they not lying about the truck alloy can stop bullet

 

bet Toyota know better about making car than Tesla

The shattered "shatter prof" side windows were a bad sign after all...
The design is like coming from drunk soviet union tank designers.

I really think that Elon Musk needs some competition in his field, maybe from hydrogen powered cars since he is very nervous about this field...would put him back to the reality.
Seeing some comments on the internet about how great this car is only because it is coming from one of the smartest humans on the planet I remembered a Rockefeller saying:
"When ordinary people behave strangely they are declared crazy and institutionalized but when rich people behave strangely they are eccentric and admired..."

Living in rural Oklahoma, I don't expect to see one of these on the road anytime soon. This "thing" has no business at all calling itself a truck.

 

All of you will be surprised on how many of these will sell.

It looks like some badass military vehicle, APC, mini-tank, whatever... all the gun nuts will want one to go with their collection of rifles and handguns.

Then there's the other people who will get one just because it's different from all the other cars and trucks out there.

Then there's the hipsters who will say "Back to the Future, baby !"

Then there's the people who don't give a rats ass about how it looks and will only look at the amazing performance specs.

Then there's the people who simply want an electric vehicle because it's cheaper to run.

Then there's the eco-warriors who will want en electric vehicle just so they don't use a gas one.

Then there's the people that want to support Tesla because they are tired of Ford, GM, etc.

Or the ones that would get one simply because... "ELON MUSK, OUR SAVIOR"

Do you need more reasons ? I can find plenty...

 

Tesla had a real chance here to make something popular in the truck segment but instead they put out this polarizing monstrosity. I won't even bother nitpicking it. The many issues are so glaring, it isn't even necessary.

Despite looking like ...this, well this thing is made out of steel alloy used on their rockets and is not painted ....so no paint chipping off on rough use ......and well the lack of curves might help with how durable that thing is less welding needed the better the stractual integrity well i think at least , but hey next time your neighbor pisses you off most likely you can drive threw his living room and drive off

 

I see several per week when driving from home to work.

 

I don't like that thing. There will be no headroom in the back seat . Who designed that thing?

Rivian has had an electric pickup, and an electric SUV getting ready for production and they are better looking than this. Probably better too. Tesla's looks more like the old El Camino. It's cheaper, too. Not nearly the range or power of the Rivians.

 

Damn, this looks like it could put the Tesla to shame! Exiting future for EVs!
