Games 4K Ultra Settings EDIT:added Cinebench20 runs 3800X 4600Mhz Cinebench20 534 3800X 4650Mhz Cinebench20 540 Alien Isolation Rage 2 35:21 Call of Juarez Gunslinger 41:51 26:30 Turned on Ryzen Master IF you want to see settings 31:35 HWinfo64 Turned on IF you want to see settings with voltage and temperatures And for the people that will ask for BattleField 5 I did 2 videos at 4600Mhz with RTX On/Off ,had to use a little more CPU voltage for BF5 to be stable Some 4650Mhz ALL core overclock light gaming loads.
Well look who it is! Branching out from the OC thread - nice results sir! I’m starting to think twice about overclocking these....
Yeah I am sir spam a lot,actually I have gamed @ 4700Mhz and my highest clock was 4747Mhz which I did not record . Truth be told running AT 4300mHZ GETS THE SAME RESULTS ,SO JUST MAKING MY E-PEEN FEEL GOOD HERE.hee hee did not realized the caps thing. Anyway higher numbers is great but in reality AMD has really killed overclocking.
Keep in mind this is possible: Score won't go up with MHZ increase because "Ryzen will drop IPC (not just clocks!) within the processor if it hits a throttling point via voltage or temperature". Now I haven't seen it in person but I've read it on tech sites more than once, so take with a grain of salt. I don't know how manual overclocking stacks up against the clock or IPC drop during intense loading at high clocks. That could be why the score isn't going up, also, you could be limited by the video hardware hitting it's maximum, etc. That being said, that's great news; maybe they are getting better at the process over there at TSMC. That would leave me with a good taste in my mouth waiting for Ryzen 4000 series to get here. Personally very very satisfied with my 3700x at stock with stock cooler, no PBO either. I have one bit of buyer's remorse over this system and that is: Did not buy 3900x when had the opportunity... Ah well can't win them all. Got it for a good price new and it smacks the ol' venerable 4790k silly in content production which I do, and is no slouch in gaming either. Good middle ground here.
