Maybe in 10 years Intel will become underdog and we will be cheering for it, instead of AMD :D

With this amount of money Intel have not even then.

Hopefully, if Intel keep spending more on anti-competitive practices ($3 billion currently) then it might take less than 10 years. Of course, we also need this practice to fail. Hopefully too, competition and consumer benefit are realised in more folk's minds this time.

Good news. The more money AMD has, the more R&D resources. Hopefully allocated to their GPU division. Would love to see them do to Nvidia what they did to Intel.

And now explain why an ad based company that produces nothing (Facebook) creates many times the revenue of AMD?

    Isn't already obvious?
How many people buy hardware parts and build a computer and have the skills and knowledge to do so - X %
How many people want to give every detail of their insignificant lives and post almost every BS and crap online-seeking validation and self-assurance, how many companies want to track you and sell you stuff? How many contractors want to spy on their employees? How many obscure reasons there are? - A WHOLE LOT. A WORLD HUGE LOT

And... what they did to intel???
CPU business is not only ryzen 3 or intel 14+++ refresh...
And if the article is about revenues and shares....:

    and to conclude:

So once again they did nothing to intel but they did a lot of good to us customers that now have an alternative finally...

I own some AMD shares and so keep a check on the share price. Although AMD did extremely well and matched what the analysts thought the analysts were not impressed as AMD did not do better than they expected ( what logic!) and so the share price is down slightly. Meanwhile Tesla made one of few profits but their sales revenue were down and debts up, but because they beat the gloomy expectations their share price went up 20%. They made profits due to cost cutting and two unconventional ways, neither which are sustainable.

Getting back to AMD, with more navi cards on the way, continued cpu growth at least while Intel has issues and 2 consoles coming out next year, they should have a nice 2020.

Yes, your right in the bigger picture of company performance. Still, AMD has shaken them up a bit on the desktop segment, what we here tend to look at.

Technically speaking AMD already beat Nvidia with Navi. Look at the specs between a RX 5700 XT abd a normal RTX 2070. Both cards have the same 14 Gbps memory, the same amount of shader cores 2560 and they both boost to similar levels 2000mhz... Yet the RX 5700 XT beat the RTX 2070 in basically all gaming benchmarks. So if the had to launch a gou now as we speak with the same amount of shader cores and memory sub system than a RTX 280 ti... Then we will see the same results unfold... It's all about timing when AMD will make that move.

I wouldn't say it like that...
Once again competition is good for us.
You want a card that does best rasterisation performance on a budget then you go with 5700XT, if you care about ray tracing then you go with RTX from Nvidia - you have a choice based on your budget and needs.

big non-shout out to the pseudo journalist asking about AMD "problems some articles may eventually maybe talk about somewhere on the internet"
you might have read my comments about AMD here I'm no defender of them (or anyone really especially "gaming" monitors  I never returned an AMD processor or gpu, I returned 4 monitors with unacceptable defects that should never have passed QC)
but that was forum troll level the guy had no idea what he was talking about which was helpful or informative for absolutely no one, just disruptive, congrats to Lisa who handled it perfectly by testing the waters on his knowledge (none) then going herself on the firmware issues without going too much into details (not everyone is a guru3d reader lol)

p.s. I know it may seem strange to "fans" but I'm a big critics of things I want to succeed I want the best for AMD as we would all gain from it both AMD and Nvidia/Intel consumers, two choices instead of one hell yea

If we consider only comlputer branch yes.
But Intel (as NVidia btw) is lot more than computer stuff, wich are only a part of their business compared to AMD wich pain to explore other path.
The way AMD follow it own path, doing better what they know the best and don't try to follow the leaders (that have more money) start to pay...

I'm on board with AMD taking market share. The truth is Intel has small departments that are worth more than AMD so frankly there is no way Intel becomes the underdog. Intel had yet another record quarter so they are still raking in the cash. What we can hope for is that AMD stays competitive over the next 10 years. Im hoping Zen3 is a little early and does very well on TSMC's 7nm+ process. That will get AMD even more much needed market share.

    AMD market cap: $35.86 billion
    Nvidia : $123.58 bil
    Intel : $245.08 bil

AMD still has a long way to go. But still manages to shake up the other two with the release of new products. Just a few years ago (2015), Nvidia was about where AMD is now. So things can happen fast if they sustain their momentum with good products.

Similar transistor count too which is really the most important aspect as that can be compared across the different fabrication sizes. In this case 7nm at 251mm² vs 12nm at 445mm² respectively, particularly when considering die size (Navi 10 actually has slightly fewer transistors at 10.3 billion compared to TU106 at 10.8 billion). It's actually quite remarkable thinking about it. The question will be though, how will big navi scale?

Edit: Have to correct you on some details, the 2070 Super is the one with 2560 cores, but that's on TU104, 13.6 billion transistors at 545mm² (cutdown chip of the full 3072 cores). 2070 regular is 2304 cores (which is the same as the regular 5700). Finally though, we also have to remember, a lot of the die area on Turing is used for ray tracing and Tensor cores - so the actual shader area used on the die could be a lot smaller.
