Hi everyone. I own a voodoo 3 3000 AGP from yesteryear. I was building a retro gaming pc and upon startup, I noticed artifacts with the video card. Upon closer inspection I noticed two missing components , both of which are capacitors. One of them had the ratings mentioned on it and I managed to replace it. The other one is an SMD capacitor and Iam unable to find out its rating in order to get a replacement. Its numbered as "C84" http://[url=https://**********/SX35LJJd][img]https://i.**********/j5SbbfTp/voodoo3.jpghttps://i.**********/j5SbbfTp/voodoo3.jpg Ive attached the image of the gpu with the missing components encircled in red. If anyone knows the ratings please drop a reply... Thanks a ton.
That C84 boy looks like a ceramic capacitor. To find out its specs, you could look up online the board schematic for your particular brand and model. Alternatively, you could use a multimeter on nearby ceramic capacitors (C85, for instance) to get their capacitance. Then, you could try to replace C84 with a similary specced capacitor.
