There may be a dozen threads already, but I'm curious as to what I should be expecting on my rig. I've gone up to 9600K @ 5Ghz, 3800MHz DDR 4 and 2080Ti @ 2150. And the fps in this game, at 4K, without DLSS (which looks fugly tbh) is about 24 fps at worst and about 35 at best. In terms of the raytracing etc being on, I mean. How hard does this game hit hardware. This is a £1300 video card and it can't handle this game?
They had been developing this game for 3 years and ray tracing was a late addition to this title. Maybe developers are still struggling with DX12. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Below with i9 9900K https://i.**********/bwDzTRnQ/download-2.png
Interesting stats, thanks for the reply. Northlight is a decent engine, but it was very rough for Quantum Break and took a long time before the quirks got ironed out. Years, in fact. Now Control, while it's a lot more polished in terms of content in all fairness, the performance is basically unacceptable at full settings. I really hope they're going to spend a lot of time patching and optimising this because you should not need DLSS for a 2080Ti. Out of curiosity, those numbers are a 2080Ti at 4K? Because they look more like 1080P.
Though results are without ray tracing enabled @ 4k. high raytracing at native 4k its 20-30fps on 2080ti
Use DLSS and Nvidia sharpening ad 75% Tweak the settings a Little bit it only needs to run ad 40 fps its great ad 40 fps
Ouch - looks like they developed the game on RTX Titan's / RTX Quadros eh.... how in the heck do they even play test without going mad
