Fix game stutter on Win 10 1703-1809

Do you wanna know what's even more "shiiiiii"? Windows 10.

Anyway, the latest CU of 1903/09 doesn't fix the stutters for me.

1607 is still the best solution in my case, tested on GRID 2 and GTA V.

 

Are you sure your problem with stuttering is standby list related? I had annoying stutters in some games since the first creators update (early 2017), mostly BF games and new Assasin Creed's, but GTA V never stuttered for me.

At first, I used ISLC, great stuff from Wagnard. The ultimate fix was to disable exploit protections/aslr bottom up, but shortly after, thanks to Nvidia forum users, I realized that (at least for me) the newest winver is problem free.

I guess the issue and solution is quite different for everyone.

Wish you guys stutter free gameplay.

i have stuttering in AC Origins, BF1. I am using ISLC to avoid that

 

Same here, installed 1903 several times and rolled back the same, because it stutters on the latest frostbyte engine.
On top of that I lost several hundreds of points in firestrike.
1809 is still the go to os. To me.

You guys that still get the stutter how much memory do you have ?,I have 32 gig and ISLC hardly ever triggers for me even though i have it set at 3000mb

 

16gb and ISLC triggers maybe 2-3 times in 2-4 hours.Depends really.This with CFG/ASMR disabled.

 

Yep when i had 16 gig it did the same and it fixed my stutter too, a few days ago i had ISLC off and standby list got to 22 gig but didn't seem to worry BFV will turn it off again and see how high it goes

 

Just to be clear it still stutters if I don't use ISLC.

 

hmm,i played assasins creed origins for 3 hours and the standy memory were not full..lower value were about 400MB
it looks like the problem is gone

edit : i was wrong, it sttuters, ISLC helps
but i noticed that free memory is emptying much more slower then in creator update

seems not related to standby "bug" but it's about stutter as well among other things

 

I just don't know. I really don't. I see these reports and it always puts me off updating but I did install 1903 18362.418 on the laptop and it seems pretty solid. I'm just not keen to try it on the gaming pc and other pc.

That and the fact all the issues MS has created has blown my confidence with Microsoft.

WOW! This thread is super interessting! And a NVidia official mod already responded.
For almost a month I got a real killer rig: i9-9900k, RTX 2080ti, 32 GB RAM. And still: There are Games who have stutter (Borderland 3 is really bad and ofc BF5 and so on) On the other hand, The Division 2 runs super smooth and looks just breathtaking.
