https://wccftech.com/required-security-update-released-for-all-versions-of-windows-10/ This is the one :- https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/help/4524147/windows-10-update-kb4524147 Its appeared for me, but It says at the bottom of the MS article on it, that it should automatically download and install (through the wsus), but it hasn't for me, its got underneath it, Pending Download, and ive got a Download button to click on for it, underneath that, and also, where it says Updates Available at the top, the picture of the 2x circling arrows, ive got a Yellow triangle, with an exclamation mark in it on that, so can't do a check EDIT: Looks like this :- Can't check for updates with the Yellow Triangle there. I don't use Internet Explorer, and i never installed the last one for it, it was on about (on the 23rd September), as that one was an Optional.
Reading about it breaking the Start Menu, failing to install, Critical errors now, so im holding off.
I updated this one about 4 hrs ago, no issues pretty fast update. Rich_Guy, there are always reports of start menu issues on every update and failing updates. I would just do it or you can wait till Tuesday where it will happen probably in a bigger CU.
if it matter any I upgrade from 1809 to 1903 3 days ago on this pc. if anything was gona go wrong it would happen with the build update which i was shocked it didnt cause it usual does at lest for me, and the above mention CU went threw fine too. Got to remember though not everyone has he same experience. People been tell me since win10 came out, that upgrade to build work fine for them and nothing bad happens or goes wrong, but so far this build upgrade is the only one I done where everything went threw fine and everything continue working fine after it was done. so that make of 10+ build upgrades I done multiple computers only 1 actual didnt result in me needing to do clean install anyway
not always. these out-of-band updates released from Mon Sept. 23 to Fri Oct. 4 caused "more pain" than usual for some users as they seem to break stuff than fixing them (see this ZDNet article about that) And Microsoft mis-handled the 9/23 out-of-band updates by only making them available on the MS Update Catalog site and not thru Windows Update & WSUS https://www.computerworld.com/artic...zero-day-patch-leaves-cognoscenti-fuming.html https://www.askwoody.com/2019/confusion-reigns-supreme-for-admins-facing-this-months-patches/ AND the out-of-band updates released on Oct. 3 seem to be have done more harm than good : https://www.askwoody.com/2019/all-of-the-out-of-band-patches-were-re-issued-in-the-past-few-hours/ Let's see if Microsoft got things right with the TUE Oct. 8 patches since they messed up bigtime with the previous updates
I was being sarcastic but that stuff fails on forums, most updates lately fix somthing break something else
