I have a Gigabyte RTX 2080 Gaming OC 8G card and there is a BIOS update available. I used the Aorus engine and went to VGA update and it says that F13 is the new BIOS. I download the new BIOS..it contains an .exe file. When I run as Admin (or otherwise) it says "Windows cannot find C:\Users\Anthony\AppData\Local\Temp\N2080GO.F13.exe.." Yes the file is not there...how is it supposed to get there? There is also a .zip file .x64 when i try to unzip it there is a password?? Seriously what is going on here?
Anyone that has one of those hybrid cards? Currently got a msi 2080 sea hawk x hybrid, screws holding the waterpump wasnt tighten at all. 1screw was really loose.. So, just a small advice. Check screws holding cooler, even air. I experienced this with a msi gtx1080 also. Just wanna give a heads up, iv seen some report temperature being a bit high.
Stupid question... I can afford a RTX2080 super but the extra performance against a 5700XT does not justify the price difference (at least for me +10% in 1440)... I am not an hardcore gamer just 1 or 2 hours per week... I am not interested by the raytracing either.... Target 1440 144hz medium quality Any good excuse to buy a 2080s?
Decided to put another RTX GPU in my 2nd pc Interesting comparing RTx2080 Trio against the RTX 2080 Trio Super model RTX 2080 Trio overclocks rock solid 2100 core have mem at +400 used at 4K also HTC Vive and a 3D projector i7 8700K @ 4.8 RTX 2080 Trio Super Overclocks 2070 core have mem at +400 used at 1080P i5 9600k @4.9 Really not an upgrade option for anyone with a 2080 as it only gives a very slight Boost I just need to decide if the Super goes in my main Rig or in my 2nd PC my sons pc ready for Minecraft RT but as there so similar not sure if it's worth the Hassle.
Thanks for confirming what I expected: Not worth the bother to replace a "normal" card with a "super" card for the sake of it.
Side graded from an ASUS STRIX 2080 to an ASUS STRIX 2080 SUPER. Sold my card to a friend and side graded lol! I was contemplating on going 2080Ti but its pretty pointless as 3000 series most likely in next summer time. Just a quick benchmark. https://www.3dmark.com/spy/9322574 Samsung goodness ram seem to cap out around 1300. Will do more testing later on. Aside from max benchmarks card is pretty solid as a daily. +0 CV +125 PL +100 Core +1000 Mem https://www.3dmark.com/spy/9322474
That's a decent card. I can't get my core quite as high (+60) I wouldn't worry too much about the vram speed. I found that after +1000 it didn't make any difference to framerates in the games I tested.
https://www.3dmark.com/compare/spy/9916424/spy/9322474 A good bump from last month when I had more time to OC. I think I can push it more but I probably will go for a 1V > undervolt instead
My 11 year old built his first PC this Christmas lots of presents with lots of parts best bit MSI RTX2080 Gaming X Trio I was surprised how well the I5 9400f runs with the RTX2080 it gets really good gaming results and is so cool never goes over 50c no mater what we have thrown at the PC Got him to install afterburner today will start him of with basic overclocking tomorrow Specs of his RTX build Cooler master MasterCase MC500 Msi Z390 Edge AC I5 9400F 212 Hyper Black adition RGB MSI RTX2080 Gaming X Trio 16GB Vengeance 3200 2 x 8GB 1TB Samsung SSD 2 TB HDD Blu-ray Optical drive EVGA 750w G3 2 x 1080P Monitors 60HZ (My old Monitors) 3 x 140 Coolermaster RGB fans Later in the year will start him on the Upgrade path Faster CPU and 32GB ram and add another SSD or NVME drive
EVGA HYBRID Kit for EVGA GeForce RTX 2080/2070 FTW3, (Model: 400-HY-1284-B1) Would this graphics card cooler be compatible with an Nvidia RTX 2080 Super FE?
How high have you guys gotten your core on the RTX 2080 None Super without enabling the voltage settings or giving it any voltage. I got mine @ 2010MHz but it tends to fluctuate down to 1995MHz and in certain games it doesn't even look like an overclock like the game Control. I got my memory from 7000MHz to 8000MHz with a +1000, probably not going any higher than that. What's that command that allows the overclock to start on Afterburner?
Could anyone with a comparable three-fan Asus Strix 2080 Ti/Non-Ti confirm that GPU-Z and HWiNFO will only show two GPU fan speeds, instead of three? I'm slightly confused and am unsure if it didn't show three before.
Oh no stock 2080 is 1750 x 4 = 7000MHz = 14.0Gbps stock 2080 super is 1937 x 4 = 7748MHz = 15.5Gbps so the 8751MHz gives it a 17.5Gbps bandwidth I did manage to push it to +1500 for benchmarks which is 9250MHz putting it at 18.5Gbps but at that point could be diminishing returns/error correcting showing not much more improvements. https://www.3dmark.com/spy/13153664
Hi, there. Right now I am on a plan of upgrading GPU and RTX 2080 will be one of the options. I would prefer my computer with 2080 work, and boots game at a good condition rather than burning in a few minutes , thus I watched some introduction video of 2080 on youtube and find this RTX 2080ti . But that overheating issue scared me. Will RTX 2080 have the same problem with RTX 2080ti? If water cooling is the solution to keep RTX 2080 below 70 ℃ at 99% using rate, that will out of my budgets plan. Any suggestions?
