My old and trusted Corsair AX1200 has just died after 9 years of service, what should I get to replace it?

Well im a seasonic guy, my last 750x psu started doing funny stuff after almost 10 years.

I'd recommend seasonic but i think you can't go wrong with any well known brand like SS,Corsair,EVGA etc. Especially since i assume you're going to get something 1000+ W again.

Hi, Yes I will, but I do like Corsair stuff but will consider other makes! I will look at seasonic but never owned one.

Well seasonic has higher warranty from what i've seen. I'd recommend going with the prime ultra series. 12 year warranty.

I think I will need a 1200w PSU, Have 2 GTX 1080 TI and a 9900k all over clocked. I think 1000w is cutting it close?

  10. Evga Supernova 1600w T2 (220-T2-1600-X1)

    Enermax MaxTytan 1250w (EDT1250EWT)

    Corsair AX1600i (CP-9020087-NA)

    Seasonic PRIME 1300w (SSR-1300PD)

Really, any 80+ platinum or titanium rated PSU with the wattage you are looking for will work. Stick with a name brand and you should be ok. titanium rated will be a bit more expensive, but it doesn't sound like you are worried about the cost.

Thank you for the info. The Seasonic PRIME 1300w (SSR-1300PD) looks interesting, think I will give that a go.

    Thank you all

  15. I doubt it. i would choose the seasonic if it were mine, but either will work.

Ok went with the V1300, Just been delivered. I have a question. The PCI-E connectors have two 6+2 on each cable can I use both at the same as I looks like they are made to go between 2 cards in SLI. or do I have to use 4 cables like with my old AX1200. Regards

Ok plugged it all in and all is working gain, thank you for your help.
