well 80 with prime 95 avx is ok to be honest, even without OC especially without delid, you ll never reach 80 degrees while gaming not even close, if you have bfV try it, it should be the game that uses the most of your cpu out there and it shouldnt be over 70 degrees

Unfortunately I don't have bfV, but I tried the Witcher 3 in the Novigrad Map and I reached 71° maximum. And AVX is disabled, that's the problem.

What exact Prime95 test did you run?

Also what PC case are you using, how many fans are fitted and is the radiator front or top mounted in the case?

Prime95 v26.6 Small FFTs. The case is Thermaltake View 31 TG RGB with 2 fans in front and 1 rear. The 240mm radiator is top mounted.

Witcher 3 uses AVX so CPU temps are high.

Idle temps seems fine. The problem is when it's doing something, so I don't think it's a CPU problem, but a cooling problem, but I don't know how to be sure of it.

no, that seems about normal and DO NOT leave it on auto it will push way too much voltage. i'm using -120 offset and i still feel like mine goes too high sometimes. but i'm 8086k delidded, liquid metal, copper ihs with graphite cooling pad to evga 280 clc 5.2ghz avx enabled and will get into the 70s when i push

Okay man, I'm so stupid. I didn't save the settings on the BIOS...
    I put the settings:
    CPU Ratio: Auto
    CPU AVX Offset: Auto
    Ring Ratio: Auto
    EIST: Enabled
    Intel Turbo Boost: Enabled
    Enhanced Turbo: Disabled
    CPU Core Voltage Mode: Adaptive
    CPU Core Voltage: Auto
    CPU SA Voltage: 1.200V
    CPU IO Voltage: 1.150V
    Load Line Calibration Control: Auto
    Intel C-State: Enabled
    Package C-State Limit: C8
    CPU Lite Mode: Mode 1
Now I have a question: how much performance did I lose with these voltage settings?
Prime95 26.6 small FFTs (AVX disabled of course) for 10 minutes

to be honest it seems just about right my i7-7700k run prime 95 small ffts around 80 on swiftech h240-x and its oc to 5.05ghz and delided, i wouldnt worry so much, 240 mm radiator is minimal for a 8700k also

Yeah, but your is delided, mine is everything on stock and AVX disabled on prime95. I had to change some settings on the BIOS to gain some degrees and I hope I didn't lose much performance.

You can set each of the the settings that you have changed back to "Auto".

The CPU Lite Mode is an offset for the CPU Vcore.

    Stock settings:
    CPU Ratio: Auto
    CPU AVX Offset: Auto
    Ring Ratio: Auto
    EIST: Enabled
    Intel Turbo Boost: Enabled
    Enhanced Turbo: Auto
    CPU Core Voltage Mode: Auto
    CPU Core Voltage: Auto
    CPU SA Voltage: Auto
    CPU IO Voltage: Auto
    Load Line Calibration Control: Auto
    Intel C-State: Auto
    Package C-State Limit: Auto
    CPU Lite Mode: Auto (Default=Mode_11)

Okay, I forgot to enable the turbo boost, but all settings are those.

With lower voltage does more points.

No I don't think so. The temperatures that you have posted for you CPU is nothing to be concerned about and is still within an acceptable range.

System performance can sometimes be affected by apps, programs and services that are running in the background. I only install the bare minimum and most of the programs that I use are portables. I also use batch scripts to disable or enable some of the programs that are installed and several services that are not needed. I also install most of the system drivers without relevant GUI software.

Also to note is that I disable the Speculative Execution mitigations.

Okay. I asked it because my cinebench points in stock settings are lower than many users I saw on internet with the stock CPU. Many people did more than 1400cb.

It's Prime95 on an 8700K. Your temperatures are fine for that. Anybody that said they were below that with a Noctua cooler running Prime95 are lying.

If you want it to get cooler than it is get a Corsair H110i.

8700ks can run pretty hot from my experience. I had issues getting mine to be cool as well. Right now I'm at 4.9ghz AVX -1 @ 1.3v and during BF5 single cores get as hot as 85c during certain loading spikes (never actually stays that hot though. I've noticed the hottest seems to be after a load drop when the CPU starts to cool down and then spikes real hard. I don't know if this is a TIM settling issue in the IHS or not. I have not de-lidded). Typically while gaming it will get to 70-75c and potentially spike to 80-85 at times if it's very CPU intensive. This is with a Noctua D15 and a good air flow case. Consistent stress testing has it ~80c on load. If I (and potentially you here) want better cooling I'd probably have to look at de-lidding the darn thing.

The reality is that it's perfectly fine. Yeah it gets hot, but it's nothing really to be too concerned about. Still plenty of room for TJmax. I stopped worrying too much about getting it cooler and just enjoy the performance I get from it since i know it's stable and cool enough.
