Google Family Link - Data Mining on Children

Today, Google in their eternal pursuit for data offered me Family Link.

Way to link online activity to Family members. It is apparent that data they collect "for" me, are data available to them.

I do not even want to imagine that google "leaks" online browsing data, searches, habits from childhood once person is adult. (or at any other time)

That's like fast way to persecution, career ending, potentially life ending.

 

It's all very creepy and they want to know way too much.

 

This is where companies have to stop.Like some kind of committee or something just kicking them in the nuts, a hard lesson to know their place.
Children you say? Better stay the frack out of this Google and somehow someway someone will sue you into oblivion. Mother flowers...

 

I'd like to meet the people that think nothing of this and sign-up without hesitation.

 

Oh, that's easy, just go to the launch day of the new iPhone @ midnight.

Google is very successful with their Chromebooks and Google Classroom, this is probably just a part of it.

Maybe less Creepy than Facebook,but it still is for sure. Generally accepted by the population and education system apparently.

...probably because someone is. The people who would sign up for this Google program are from the, "Well, if you don't have anything to hide, then you don't have anything to fear" sub-species of humankind. And, by the way, that is some of the most hellaciously poor marksmanship I've seen in quite some time. She's fortunate it wasn't for realsies.
