The links to ASUS bios 7401 (C6H) no longer works. Looks like Dropbox got too many hits and shut it down. Anyways anyone know where I can get 7401 for the ASUS CrossHair 6 Hero? Looks like the last bios that support PCIe 4 and is AGESA 1.0.0.3 ABB. The official 7403 does not support PCIe 4.
Looks like quite a few Asus Boards got an update to the ABB Bios yesterday : Asus Prime-B450M-K https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/PRIME-B450M-K/HelpDesk_BIOS/ Asus B450M-PLUS Gaming https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/TUF-B450M-PLUS-GAMING/HelpDesk_BIOS/ Not for the Asus B450M-PRO Gaming though.....still the old one....

Tested the latest AGESA on two MSI boards. MSI B450 Mortar and MSI B450 Tomahawk MAX. With it, on bothboards RAM was easier to OC and definitely more gain on tighter timing. I used a common Kingston Hyper RAM kit rated at 2933 CL16 Hynix die. Had them at 3466 CL 18 but settled for 3200 CL 16 stable. With the previous AGESA wasn't remotely possible, system froze once the 3000 threshold was reached. However, it's a beta version, MSI warns about using it if it's a must. For geeks, it is. Gimme, gimme , gimme as ABBA sings. Well, I'm happy with it.
I really want Asus to get off their asses and release an ABBA bios for my Crosshair VI Hero. There are custom BIOS's that people have made for my board. see my above post: But, its a custom BIOS.... and I am not really sure that it will work or that it wont brick my board. Still I am using the latest official bios that has the ABB agesa. The thing is this board throws 1.58V at the my 3900X at stock!! Temps are still ok as it doesn't hit that voltage much and VID sits at 1.48v whilst actual vcore ranges from 0.800v to 1.58v but temps are still on the high side around 35c idle and 71c max. I have disabled some core boosting features of the board and enabled global cstates and set vcore from auto to manual but left the manual setting at auto as apparently this can help with voltages and it does and vcore now sits at 1.39v max and drops to 0.7v when idling. I just want that agesa ABBA though as I feel like I am missing something or have something that doesn't work right.
If other people have tried the Bios and they had no problems (same board as you), then flip a coin If there was a Beta Bios with ABBA for my board, i'd probably flash it, but its still not quite finished yet, so i'll be patient... ABB Bios is still quite a bit better than the AB Bios, and its only a couple of weeks or so until the official ABBA comes out. Early October I expect. (Hope).
