    HI

Under nvidia developer for OPTIX you can download new pre-release gameready driver 435.80

For now you need an Nvidia account to download it.
    https://developer.nvidia.com/designworks/optix/download

For now I am not able to upload the driver because of very very slow internet connection.

    Branch: r435_00-124
    Ver = 07/24/2019, 26.21.14.3580

I just finished download. Report also at the end of the day how it works on gtx 1060 in my laptop.

    This is standard or dch?

No release notes as it is from developer site for OPTIX and this is pre-release gamerady driver

    with 20h1,

@ManuelG where would you like feedback for these drivers?

Devtalk, insider hub or the Geforce forum?

Finally. Those leaked 435.23 had some latency issues if idle.

I don't see any latency setting either, NVCP is same as older versions

What exactly is said "latency slider" supposed to be / do?

Does this driver support the VRR (variable refresh rate) option under Windows' Settings > Display > Advanced Graphics like the v435.27 ones did?

It would have said this was a newer build of the v435.27 driver but if it's lacking the Latency options then it possibly isn't but a different branch completely.

Kind of annoying that NVIDIA don't do release notes for these drivers. IMO, any driver from NVIDIA, whether alpha, beta, official or whatever, *should* have some release notes so people are aware of what is new, what is fixed and what has been changed.

Combination of pre-rendered frames and multi-threaded rendering optimizations into a singular slider setting.
Off, low and high I think it was.

    Off - 3 pre-rendered frames, MTR on.
Low - 1 pre-rendered frame, MTR on. (Can reduce input latency, might lead to some hitching though.)
High - 1 pre-rendered frame, MTR off. (Not entirely sure why multi-threaded rendering optimizations are forced off, I assume it is related to latency in some way but it could affect performance a bit having it disabled.)

EDIT: From memory there's a post on the GeForce.com forums with a better overview of what each respective level actually did and I would assume later drivers then worked this into the tooltip for the options in NVCP itself for clarification. :)
(So that you don't just push this to the maximum thinking it just reduces latency without affecting anything else when it's a combination of two existing settings.)

EDIT: Far as hitching and stuttering goes I would assume as long as the CPU can handle the workload from just a single frame being pre-rendered and queued up this isn't going to be too problematic but it might vary from game to game depending on CPU and GPU workload and factors such as the game or game engine and how it works and possibly limitations depending on API used if that factors in at all.
(Multi-threaded rendering optimization I expect won't do much for D3D9 and I am not sure how much of this can be overriden from the driver for D3D12 and Vulkan or if that has explicit control.)
