After 2 days of testing and light gaming:

    BF:V - no issues
War Thunder - no issues, better minimum FPS (not sure it's caused by driver or game updates)
    Heroes&Generals - no issues
The Talos Principle (Vulkan) - no issues

Also, no weird colors issue, no wattman issues, no blasckscreens, no video stuttering etc. :)

So it seems it's OK driver then :p
Good, im waiting for WHQL now (no time to install drivers all the time)

Two days ago i make comparison: 19.5.2 vs 19.6.2 vs 19.7.1
So im on easy mode now.

Try express update. I did it from 19.7.1 to 19.7.2 and it seems that everything went ok.

The updater caused my Windows 10 to hang with a black screen. Subsequent install attempts resulted in "General errror 1603".
Had to clear the current driver with DDU again, few times in a row until Microsoft Basic Render Driver appeared in the Device Manager. Only then 19.7.2 installed itself successfully.
I'm on a Insider Preview build 18936 though.

Its insane that video driver this days is 1.1gb. Still getting a flashing colors while installing. Seems fine after restart. Profiles work. Gonna test some games.

Yeah OpenCL (amdocl) some new module amdhip (Parallel processing Open CL 2.0) then another fairly recent addition that doesn't have a description (amdcomgr) and then the kernel sys driver (atikmdag) and D3D9, D3D10+ and OpenGL and Mantle is still in there plus variants of Vulkan's 1.1.106.0 runtime and also the driver files for it and then ccc2_install.exe being in the driver folder now at around 200 MB on it's own.

And more (Video playback files and other stuff I don't really have any info on what these would.) resulting in a 0.98 some GB folder size for that alone. :)

Under Windows 7 with 19.7.1 I noticed an "AMD Log Utility Driver" in Device Manager with no drivers installed. This did not go away by uninstalling 19.7.1 and had to manually be uninstalled. With 19.7.2 I noticed it again. Any ideas what this is and how to install the missing drivers?

Wouldn't that tie into their own work with Radeon Rays and as a way to get that into D3D12 through DXR and leverage their ray tracing tech that way and then whatever extension will be needed for Vulkan API support where I assume until Khronos has something it'll be either or both from whatever NVIDIA and AMD submits.

AMD supporting DirectX 12 for 1809 (Kinda) and 1903 (Without going into dev mode.) for Windows 10 seems a given although what they'll use it for we'll see since I think it's just a base for ray tracing but could be leveraged via implementations building upon it rather than using it as-is though I don't know too much about how this works although I recall the base method as a pretty slow option mostly for testing or development purposes.

EDIT: Ah so it's in the amdxc64.dll file and it's 32-bit variant of amdxc32.dll after checking with a text editor.

    So much to learn. :)

D3D9 file, OpenGL file, VLK file, Mantle file and then D3D10+ file and others (OpenCL for example.) and then there's this file.

Well I'm just another user but yeah it's in there doing...things. :D

I am Wondering if there is a Harware limitation to "radeon Image Sharpening" not being available on Polaris and Vega on these latest drivers?

While searching the net I have not come across any info on this topic, maybe I have not searched correctly?

If i had to guess, they will wait till they sell so many of those newer cards is the main reason

Thankfully we have MSI Afterburner so AMD Overlay is not needed ;-)
