Remedy has revealed the official PC system requirements for its Control via its Epic Games Store page. Remedy recommends an Intel Core i5-8600K or an AMD Ryzen 7 2700X with 16GB of RAM and an Nvidia ...

Ouch those recommended specs are high, mind you the game does look good visually. Though this is from the same guys that did quantum break right? that game runs pretty poorly too even on high end systems

Hopefully for Remedy it's a decent enough game people will want to upgrade for, then.:)

Insane minimum requirements, especially for GPU. They will lower it if they wanna sell something.

A 1060 for minimum requirement is considered insane where you hail from eh? Interesting...... What do you consider something acceptable then? A 660?

Also, what the hell is this "Ray-Tracking" is this some new fangled Ray-Tracing? lol

Are insane as minimum requirements, they are mid-range Pascal and a Polaris20XT.

It is also stupid asking for a specific CPU generation instead of number of hardware threads and feature (eg AVX2) supported.

It is pretty high for a minimum requirement which leads me to believe that Control is basically going to perform much like Quantum Break so they have raised the minimum requirement in comparison to Quantum Break to deal with the poor optimization of the engine.

I wouldn't say it's a matter of poor optimization when games are really looking that great, which was the case for Quantum Break.
Game is gorgeous, still some of the best looking game out there while it was released early 2016. (even with some reflections issues here and there)

As far as i also understood Quantum Break releasing on PC was something added rather late in development, while for Control i assume it was considered from the get-go.

Lol people so mad. This is like the best looking RTX game so far based off videos and screenshots, maybe it will finally make RTX seem worthwhile on my 2080 Ti.

requirements look fine to me. 2080 for RTX will be too low anyway, we all know that, unless they launch with a solid DLSS support.

Considering the best implementations of DLSS so far look worse than just running the game at a lower resolution and dealing with monitor fuzz, that's pretty wishful thinking.

I will get this and the new wolfstain with my 2080 super. not my type of games but both are worth trying.

Could perform better than a minimum system req. no way rx580 is only capable of low settings. Really want to play this game.

Considering I was talking about DLSS performance boost, not how it affects IQ, I'll just check out of your monologue.
