My Taichi has one more LAN port than I need. And that's exactly as many as most of people who buy it need.
X470 Taichi did deliver more important things than other boards in given price category. Not sure about X570 Taichi as I do not know prices of all boards.

Can you deliver price list based on which you deemed it Expensive, @coth ?

Z390 Taichi has two LAN adapters. And almost entire ASRock Z390 line up from mid range has 2.5 Gbit+ adapters.
Even my P67 Fatality Professional has two LAN adapters.

So, no price, but it is expensive? Because board w/o 2 LAN ports is expensive even without price tag?
Do you even know that Z390 Taichi is 20% more expensive than X470 Taichi? Isn't price difference enough to buy that LAN, you so much crave for?

He's probably talking specifically about the X570 taichi, which newegg has for $299, and is more expensive then the Z390.

But, the methodology of logic doesn't make sense.

If you're interested in a X370 or X470 taichi, you can add in an additional ethernet port for $10-20 and get gigabit or even 2 gigabit ethernet. Z390 comes with two gigabit, not 2.5 gigbit, just 2 1 gigabit connections, for $30-40 depending on what board you're comparing it to you can add an additiona 1 gigabit or 2 gigabit connection. Makes no sense to prefer to buy a more expensive board to be locked into 2, 1 gigabit connections, when you can spend less, and then add whatever you want on, for still less.

Now, the x570, sure. But....you can add gigabit connections or higher to the X570 to suite your needs. But.....you can't add PCI-Express 4.0 to the Z390 board, and the only real reason to get the X570 taichi over the x370 and x470 versions, is the PCI-Express 4.0, so it's not exactly a fair comparison. If you need PCI-Express 4.0, then you'll have to pay extra for it, but if you have a Z390 board, or intel in general, you simply can't get PCI-Express 4.0, so there's literally no point in comparing a X570 board to a Z390 board and saying it's "too expensive" while disregarding the x370 and x470, which are cheaper, and comparable to the Z390 board.

Just seems like a whole lot of no logic was used in coths logic.

They are updating some motherboards BIOS with this description "Improve user experience for Matisse":
    https://www.asrock.com/support/index.asp?cat=BIOS

I wonder if the ones with this "Improve user experience for Matisse" still have Agesa 1.0.0.1 or a newer one.

They also seem to have added/documented the 3900X support to many motherboards. (Including the B450 ITX I'll have. Though I'll just put a 3700X).

From what i'm seeing and reading, a lot of the B450 boards will cap out at 3700X-3800X support.
Possibly due to VRMs, rather than space in the Bios....

Well ASRock added the 3900X also in the B450 ITX. Which has average VRMs. nothing special, not bad, not very good.

I been thinking of doing 3700x and x570 extreme 4 wifi or the X570 Phantom Gaming 4 which like 145$ vs the Extreme 4 wifi not that I would use the wifi but it would be nice to hav built in bluetooth I could pick up the CPU/MB and 16gb for 500$ at microcenter while I still in nj,

Hope full my Retail windows 7 key converted to win 10 still works like retail key and I could switch to a new build with out having to get new key

gona find out when I redo my pc then, side question about this linking the key to MS account is also for this purpose?? I at one point before I formated my PC to redo window 10 I link it to my MS account. for the purpose of if it didnt reactive I could just log into my MS account and active it that way. I have not loged into said MS account since though. is there way to say log into email the key is associated with and see if the key it linked to it? or is it not that simple

its only ever been install on my current pc( 6700k + z170 Extreme 4+ 16gb ram) only parts that swapped out after words was 660gtx which went to 1060gtx to 1070ti and my 500gb hdd was swamped out for 1 tb 860evo.

As I never had retail key to this one, I always had OEM and seeing I have not tried reactivate it on new pc I not sure of how it actual worked.

why would anyone share there key oem/retail with anyone it would make there key invalided for them if someone else tried to use it. Corporate key are only thing that works with.

Like said I look think about getting 3700x and X570 Phantom Gaming 4 which only $150 which about what I payed for my current z170 extreme 4 actual I think I payed 120 for it. gonna see how far this thought goes

1.0.0.2 and 1.0.0.1 were making pre-3k chips to experience whea errors, so if this isn't affected then let everybody know

The X570 Taichi looks awesome at around the $300 point (comparable features to $400+ boards). Way overkill for a 65w 3700x even OC'd to its (limited) max. The x470 Taichi is being heavily discounted and can be found at around $170. Just that problem where you need an older pre-zen 2 CPU to update the bios.

    Do you?

There was some speculation about if Ryzen 3000 series CPUs would work on 400 series CPUs out of the box no matter the bios, i haven't seen any tests on that, but AMDs slide that shows support implies 3000 series CPUs will "work", albeit not likely well, even with the original BIOS'. I've been trying to see if anyone has tested this.

For the Asrock x470 Taichi mentioned earlier, you need at least bios version 3.40 (dated 5/28/19). High chances anyone buying this board today will have an older bios that wont work with the R 3000 CPUs. Could be wrong, but I believe most x470 boards also need bios updates, unless they are recent revisions or have a bios flashback feature that can do the update without CPU installed,
