There will be a low-latency option in the next set of drivers most likely, however I doubt it'll have as much of an effect as AMD's Anti-Lag.

looks low latency option in next drivers are only pre render frames on 1, but called by another nome

it would be great to see more of these things instead of using reshade, plus making it vendors side also means its more or less problemfree and performance is better, plus many techniques are only known to hardware makers
enbseries has these custom fixes per game per effect even for things like shadows or lights
its hacky but it can be made more generic as we can see
come on nvidia you have ansel, use it for more than just color filters, dont bundle it away in some complicated suite, options in the control panel are way more convenient
this antilag and sharpening stuff has existed for decades, its nothing new (except perhaps the implementation specifically), integer scaling also needs a look

theres always a downside thou, video drivers are already a mess, probably one of the most complicated things in the pc, we want to reduce that complexity instead of adding to it, somekind of for every thing you do, something else has to be reduced rule needs to happen in the future

RTSS fractional framerate cap has you covered vendor agnostic for lower lag vsync thank you very much.

RTSS with Scanline sync, or with fractional frame limit (the Blurbusters method), beats both of these billion dollar corporations, and can be used on any GPU.

What do I set scanline sync to on 144 hz?

It depends on the application and how many horizontal lines of pixels your display has.

In my usage case on a 1080p display (which has 1080 horizontal lines of pixels), to get the tearing line to stay near the bottom without disappearing i've set it anywhere from 1050 - 1060.

    1080p for me, too.
I rarely see tearing lines at all, even when the frames are below 144. I read "-40" would be a good setting but I didn't really notice a difference. Just would like to know if theres a different recommended value for 144 hz compared to 60 hz.

Also is NVIDIAs fast sync comparable / worse / better than scanline sync?

already exists, turn off threaded optimization and set pre-render frames to 1.
