Anyone is saving money for a Matisse build??

No, euro - the master was since computex meant to be priced at around 350 $ and it shouldn't be over 370 unless something has gone terribly wrong.
The Asus board has too weak a VRM to be worth over 400 btw. It's only an 8phase. It does have a lot of overclocking features (better than the master) but the master has the best VRM - better than the 800$ boards from MSI and Asus actually.

 

Well.. at least i'm done with the rest of my build here and I'm just waiting for reviews/pricing, might have to wait for pricing to settle for a few weeks but otherwise im ready.

Yes, the reviews are getting released, NDA is lifted, but wait a few days to read all reviews.
Initially I've stated that I will go for a 3700X, but seems that 3600X takes the budget/performance ratio crown.

Sounds good, board is a beast.

 

After a few Bullzoid videos I just found out that really I don't need the extra 8-pin CPU connector plugged in.
So, it's there for extreme cases for heavy LN2 OC sessions.
Single 8-pin connection can deliver up to 350+W on single 12 V rail.
Am I wrong?

No need, we already welcome the new mainstream CPU, the 3700X.

 

Most people probably would go with the 3600 i think.
Once the 3700x drops sub 300 its gonna be an easy choice for the mainstream tho, 8 core is somewhat future proof, 6 core.. eh unlikely with 16 thread consoles right around the corner

Problems is the chipset.
X570 or X470
Example
Asus X470 Prime Pro is just perfect for me, has an Intel NIC and pretty much I want.
Asus X570 Prime Pro has an Realtek NIC and some details I still have to accept.
More, the overall cost...going X470 cuts almost 100€ from the platform price

 

Looks like my preferred retailer won't get any ryzen 5 3600 (non-x version) until the beginning of september, but i might as well wait as they need to update their bios.

However they've got a shipload of overpriced x570 motherboards in stock (yes, i know, pcie4; not interested), which cost $50 more than the cpu itself.

And looking at the boards i want, i.e. b450 they've almost run out of everything. They've got a few ones left, but mostly feature incomplete boards; might as well step up to x470.

I also want to make it clear, that i won't be buying from another one of the bigger retailers in my country, because i've been there, done that and their rma suck.

 

I am REALLY considering postponing my build.
The only things I can safely buy are the PSU -Evga 650 W G3 and the Fractal Design Meshify C computer case.
The rest: save money, put parts on wish list, wait for Black Friday.
Meanwhile saturate myself with reviews and bugs tracking, and wait patiently for kernel revisions who, hopefully fix the Matisse boot error bug.( Linux)
Anyone has better idea?

 

ha, 380 master here, but cant find the 3900x for sub 550. Gonna have to bite the bullet @ 550 tomorrow if nothing changes..

 

I am on the same boat.

Gonna buy a new video card to replace my dying GTX970, probably 5700XT for a good price. If new GPU pushes frames and CPU caps, I might end up upgrading to Zen 2. Till then I gonna stick with 2500K@4.5GHz.

But I am waiting to see the updated QVL list for 3600 RAM modules.

 

ah fustrating when you live in south korea, pc parts here r so expensive for early adopters.
when buying from amazon and new egg, have to wait and sometimes hard to find the compatible memory with the mobo

 

What 200$-ish X570 have Intel NIC? Pretty much all have Realtek.
Just don't like Realtek NICs, I need Intel NIC for virtualization and stability, and really don't want to add a PCI-E card.

 

Guys, EVGA 650W G3 priced 90€ delivered at my door is a good deal?
