This is a bit odd - there's been a tonne of new games but no new drivers from Nvidia since May.

    What gives?

Vacation time for the driver team? And the Super series isn't launching until next week officially.

Do you mean v431.18 as that is the latest hotfix driver released by NVIDIA?

    No, 431.16 is another driver.

There's already 435 drivers from MS Update, but they're probably older than the latest 431s.

Sits patiently for a proper 435.xx release.

Yes, the v435.27 drivers appear to be older, as in they don't contain many of the fixes, than the v431.18 hotfix driver as F1 2019 DX12 will repeatedly crash at the main menu with v435.27 but works perfectly fine with v431.18.

What's wrong with the current driver?

Texture flickering in WoW Bfa with all the 430.xx drivers and even with 435.27. :(

But apart from that, nothing I've played had issues.

That's not a bug, that's a feature which tries to tell you to stop playing that trash. ;)

For example, MK11 has odd flickering/flashing problems (most prominent at 4k resolution on certain maps) on my 2080 Ti with the release 430.xx and 431.xx drivers that for example the 435.27 drivers don't exhibit (and it isn't the driver profile for the game either - I imported the one from 435.27 to 431.18 and it didn't fix the issue) It's on the 431.18's Known issues list as well.
Also, the 435.27 beta drivers appear to have a higher minimum framerate in my games and thus running "smoother" (yeah, subjective, I know) overall for me I'm not sure why that is. And they show the Adaptive Sync option in Windows settings. However, unlike 430.xx and 431.18 drivers, 435.27 seem to be unstable in some games (like BFV DX12 with DXR enabled in 4k, F1 2019 DX12, etc..). Thus it would be nice if we would get an updated driver that combines the best of both worlds soon. :)

I don't have that issue so it could be something else on your end?

I'd rather wait 2 moths even 3 for a good driver rather than getting buggy drivers every 2 weeks followed by hotfixes every 5 days

If you use NVIDIA Vulkan Developer Beta Driver 425.89 the texture flickering is gone, but instead you get a "washed out" cursor :)

Wow okay, there seems to be a lot of people with that issue. You know, now when I think about it, if I open my map I do see some extremely brief flashing of small "boxes" on the map itself. I thought it was related to an Addon but didn't think much more about it. So maybe it's due to this bug that you speak about?

Yea, like this guy wrote "Yesterday was fine game wise all day. But today I got the flickering on UI and flickering black squares on the in game map."
I've got those black squares, though I haven't noticed UI flickering.
