Actually did some further testing with DLSS as i just bought the game and it wasn't in last time i played and you're right. DLSS does ruin textures normal map quite a lot. I had a much experience just lowering resolution scaling a tiny bit while keeping Ray Tracing on medium:
Just played a few rounds... the stuttering is jarring with this latest patch... god damn did i die many times due to it -_-
Ok wow dx12 actually works now and improves performance. I got a laptop for summer with a 980m and i7 4860hq, i noticed GPU usage was very low at around 60-70%. FPS was around 50-55 wich is too low for a game like this, i switched to DX12 but had no hopes for it. But it actually pegged my GPU at 99% now and increased my FPS substantial to around 70fps avg. I heard DX12 had issues with lag spikes but i had no such issue during my play sessions. The screen is 100hz so 70fps is fine for me, the screen though have to get used to.
I already mentioned that all the new maps are not coming in automon but before. Here are the release dates. Al Sundan: 27.06.2019 Marita : July 2019 Lofoten : August 2019 Provence : August 2019 Operation Underground (Metro) : October 2019
I get my hopes up for new single player maps whenever I read about new map reveals. I guess new maps in solo play are not likely and I know I should probably just give online play another try to get all those maps. I've tried to setup online play to run around solo. Apparently there is no way to do that such as restricting players to 1 or some other such setting, but if anyone knows how other than setting up my own I'd like to know.
Believe it or not i bought the game about 4 months ago and i only started playing last night. This game hammers the CPU very hard almost 100% usage occasionally on 64 player servers depending on the map. Very smooth on DX11 but i have not tried DX12 yet to check for stutter or if it reduces load on the cpu. Nvidia control panel settings always reset my changes for this game so i had to use global settings.
Since no one posted the latest patch notes, from June 3th and i didnt even know there was another update... here they are..

I'm slowly losing more and more interest with Battlefield thanks to how this one has been treated so far... I still manage to play from time to time, but it's just not like previous titles where I would sink so many hours into it. Lately I tend to play for one map and drop afterwards either bored or frustrated with some sort of bug or something.. The new map was delayed which was what I was mostly looking forward to I'm with this patch, but I'm probably going to hop on later and mess around a bit though to see the new bugs they've created lol. They need to step up their QA.. On a side BF5 rant.. all this company coin is just stacking up not being able to be used because of how aggressively they monetized ALL the epic and above quality gear. I'm not going to spend 10 dollars for an 'elite' dude or dudette, sorry EA.
