Legally, you would have to subscribe to Sky's NowTV Entertainment Pass or have Sky and its on demand services. You can probably find a decent introductory offer for the Entertainment pass and theres also 7 day trial if you never had Now TV https://help.nowtv.com/article/free-trial
Sad story, my niece who was born a few weeks after the explosion at Chernobyl got most probably affected by this and died 6 years later. (she got a rare blood disease where only two children had it at that time in the entire country which was Czechoslovakia). They found that Aunt had an unusual high of radiation after she gives the birth, that could affect a fetus during development. But what they didn't know (even doctors, or at least they pretend they didn't know) from where was the high dose of radiation. We found it later when communism falls apart.
Yep, I remember the news from the time (also living in a communist country back then). I was only young but I remember seeing it on the news and how we were told that nothing major happened and how it's under control. I remember because it was some big news, kinda scary. I've even rewatched those news on youtube recently and it sent a shiver down my spine.
Here's an article on some of the inaccuracies in the show. Naturally, the real world is a bit more complex. https://www.newyorker.com/news/our-...obyl-got-right-and-what-it-got-terribly-wrong Here's another, google-translated article: https://translate.google.com/transl...ikke-i-suksess-serien-_chernobyl__-1.14577315 If it sounds a little confusing at first it's due to us having the same word for correct and voting. It was a real treat to get a show like this directly after the disaster that was GoT.
That it didn't actually happen? That a chopper did crash but it was well after the event and had nothing to do with the effects of radiation but was as a result of it hitting one of the work cranes working on the sarcophagus? It's fine because the chopper crashing does at least work on a metaphorical level for what really happened. They started to struggle to keep the air drops running as their pilots started falling ill due to radiation sickness. Not that it matter as they eventually had to stop doing the drops as they were having little effect, due to difficulty of approach and that the target was a hole which was partially covered by the UBS 'Elena' which had blown off and then fallen back over the core and was being obscured further still by smoke and debris. They also ran in to the worry that the extra weight being added would result in the entire structure collapsing in to the basement of the facility.
Happened 2 weeks after the explosion, perfectly understandable that they moved the timeline up for suspense.
It does contain a lot of fiction. Thunderf00t actually works as a nuclear physicist and has let's just say above average information on how things work
