Framerate was not showing for me too. Most probably is because games don't go in to fullscreen. I fixed it by deleting any unused monitors from device manager. If you want to try it out, use this command in command promt as admin SET DEVMGR_SHOW_NONPRESENT_DEVICES=1 start device manager and check show hidden devices from view tab.

Shuttering is there on Windows 10 1903 too.
Well I installed the driver before I upgraded my PC to 1903 (build 18362.113). Windows actually removed the driver and installed one from March...

I'm hoping AMD just recompiled the 1.1.106.0 runtimes and re-signed them with their own .dll signatures added on and no other major changes just perhaps that the compiler flags differ a bit (Hopefully not to any detrimental effect.) and different file size though for the changes I'd just re-install the 106.0 or newer runtime from the official website though I can't see AMD doing anything too custom with the official .dll files and launcher for the VLK runtime.

NVIDIA's drivers also has these as bundled files come to think of it but I don't think there's any differences beyond compression on them that get expanded/uncompressed during installation. :)
And yeah the basis of Mantle ended up with Khronos and from there to Vulkan and I think DX12's grounds is also heavily based on Mantle although from there to newer changes and extensions it's probably changed somewhat but I would imagine there's still a lot of similarities which should also ease development and cross API experience with developers becoming familiar with both over time and utilizing them better and better.

Well in due time, DX11.4 and newer will live on as well and we do get updates for OpenGL too although on Windows it's not too common for gaming and on Linux it looks like Vulkan is gaining popularity which also has seen a rise of wrappers of various sorts and projects like DXVK through WINE and then there's also Proton.

    It's good. :)

Branch update and other changes might unveil a few issues so a 19.5.2 driver and on might perhaps start fixing these up though I haven't read up much on the 19.5.1 experiences yet other than what I've noticed myself and a few user opinions and reports on other forums and here. (Bits of Navi seem to have landed if I'm reading it right though it makes sense if the GPU's themselves are launching next quarter sometime.)

Driver is working fine. Been gaming yesterday the whole day didnt get a single crash or anything similiar, perfomance a great.

Laggy driver settings does not bother me, nvidia have that problem for like forever. Only thing that is annyoing i cant get damn performance overlay to work without issues.

I used to play BF4. For most part I played (so far from recently), I perceived that while Mantle generally resulted in bit lower average fps, it was magnitude more smooth due to better frame pacing. (That's after they fixed that bug where every xx seconds there was tiny micro-freeze for like 0.06s.)

If You can, find a bargain for V64 :p
Navi will be OK, but Vega still has some As in the sleeve.
HBCC and other great features as well as Raw PowaH:

    Vega 56 Air = 10.57 TFLOPS
    Vega 64 Air = 12.58 TFLOPS
    Radeon VII = 13.44 TFLOPS
    Vega 64 XTX = 13.66 TFLOPS

After some Tweaks my LC is >14 TFLOPS at ~1717MHz :D (Even now it's still some serious GPU)
Next-Gen APIs will give us more & more in time.

    added
    Radeon VII = 13.44 TFLOPS
but You need to remeber that Vega VII can OC up to 2GHz ! thus surpasing easily XTX in TFLOPS.

So the Vega VII LC OC at 2000MHz = more than 15 TFLOPS.

Unless you are playing the streamer and reliver, WU driver is superior. And always newer if you sign up to insider community. I always DDU and let the WU upgrade. Never betrayed. Not to mention the smallest fastest radeon settings lite suite constantly updating through ms store.

Thanks for info, i was waiting for final release of 1903 and it finally is released. I'm surprised there is not much news about it among bigger IT news portals.

Ok, news start to appear everywhere.

Thank you for sharing them. With 19H1 1903 the Windows transparency (Start Menu, Settings, Action Center, etc.) is still broken. Is it the same case with 20H1?
