Damm that is one Hell of a deal for this cpu just thought I would post it for you guys incase someones looking to upgrade. Sorry I did not provide the link. Just check out Micro center website.
If you live close to one, 1.6 miles away for me. UNAVAILABLE ONLINE https://www.microcenter.com/product...-am4-boxed-processor-with-wraith-spire-cooler
Just visited my local MicroCenter and got the Ryzen 5 1600 along with an Asus B350 board, a stick of 8GB DDR4, and a Geforce GTX 1650 card all for $300. Needing the part to upgrade a relative's system that is running a Pentium Anniversary G3258. Was going to pickup the i5-9400F which they have on sale for $159 but couldn't overlook the price of the 1600 so this is my first AMD processor since 2011. Hopefully it will run ok.
That is a great deal but you should return the GTX 1650 and go with the faster AMD 570 with 8gb Vram, just my opinion .
Agreed. The 570 should be about the same price as the 1650 and it's substantially faster, the 1650 is a lemon of a card for most purposes.
rx 570 8 GB $149 Buy this video card and get an AMD 50th Anniversary Game Bundle FREE! https://www.microcenter.com/product...verclocked-dual-fan-8gb-gddr5-pcie-video-card
Thanks for you info. After doing a bit more research, I think I will swap out the 1650 card for the RX-570 after all... not because I like any of the Radeon series card at all... When it comes to video card, I'm Nvidia all the way but I do like the 50 Anniversary game bundle after all and since I do have plan to get the two listed games, this can save me some money... lol. Appreciated the info everybody.
Yes it is the best move for the AMD 570 and with the two games it is like getting a GPU for free.No better deal to be had that I know of.Good luck with the new build.
Early in March, in this admittedly incoherent thread, Defcon 1, while likely under the influence of alcohol, I mentioned the quite amazing price of the Ryzen R5 1600 at MicroCenter. Launched an additional raid on MC this past Tuesday, (I was in the vicinity), and was able to slip away with another R5 1600 and an ASRock AB350 Pro4 motherboard, both for $114.98 USD. No shots were fired. I'm filing this op under "N" for Not Too Shabby. OK, maybe not the most epic motherboard of all time, but it's runnin' great so far. I'm happy, and I'm happy when I'm happy.
