What matters here is what controller is used, and of course the launch price for say the 1TB piece.

The msrp is $259.99 for the 1 TB, and I would guess it will use the Phison E12 controller. [IMG]

By the looks from the picture its using the Phison E12 reference.

So far the only two brands that offer 5 year and 1600+TBW are:

Corsair MP510 and the BPX Pro and is priced at $149.99 USD.

The other brands that use the Phison E12 reference that has 3 year warranty and 600TBW as their endurance rating comes around $139-$119 (Inland Premium @ Microcenter).

So the additional price you're paying for is the brand name, warranty, and possibly customer service. I went with the Corsair MP510 for the warranty and customer service (YMMV) as opposed to other not so well known brands.

This is roughly the performance you may get, this is out of the box no tweaks empty one click benchmark. It came with the latest 12.2 firmware.

Performance is subject to change as more firmware comes out.

did you disable write cache flushing(advanced performance) in device manager?
my sx8200 pro is half full already, it gets around 3000MB read/write scores.

Ah it was disabled for my Samsung but not the Corsair, it was unchecked by default.

Anyways this is with it checked.

@UZ7 try a bigger file size instead of the 1GB. Longer sustained writes is what's interesting, especially when working with large video files

About 3000MB for 8GB and went down to 1200MB for 32GB.

Things are moving in a really nice direction for SSDs. Nice write speeds on that drive too.

I spent about the same amount, almost half the going rate at the time, on my 960 EVO 1TB a year or so back and very happy with it :)
