AMD Memory Tweak - Read/Modify Timings on the fly!

I am still working on totally stable..but I keep messing with other timings then ones I mentioned to see if I can pick up any gains.

BIG NOTE AND PSA: Everyone needs to specify what type of memory aka the manufacture. Just like with polaris I assume Samsung and Hynix will have a big difference in working timings.

 

Gotten tREF upto 24000 higher then that does not seem to offer any performance improvements.

 

Yeah, might be best to stay in between 15k & 17k in terms of stability

dropping rrd to 3 helps as well.. ;-)

Ok so this tool overclocks my RX 570 better than any other.. 1400mhz stable on RX 570 4GB, no other tool could make this stable, not even MSI AB or Sapphire Trixx.

OCCT & Heaven stable, never been stable at these clocks before.

 

@OnnA What do you mean how did I configure it?

I also have a profile I am working on with some different timings from the folks at the bitcoin forums...however these are not stable for gaming but just compute work but trying to work it out...as some of the timings may be stable for gaming just not all that tight. These timing do improve hash rate for them.

@Eliovp just a thought based on what a response of yours on bitcoin...as you goal is try to make this tool as an all in one tool and totally replace wattman etc...would it be possible to add a toggle or just make it set wattman to custom vs the default of balanced?

Here is my new stable for Gaming HBM2 OC
Tested in BFV MP & in 3Dmark

Should work with any Vega64 (56 needs Samsung HBM, for Mic/Hyn You need to test Yourself)
This is not cranked to the Max (it's Fastest Stable so far, in time we will have even better OC IMhO)

Im now on CL14 and any game i play it just plays better (Same OC profile but with HBM2 Timing OC)

@OnnA A few observations now that I have had some time to test things out. The biggest thing is this tool just works great....but some timings do not work as we think they do on HBM. Not a big deal. Such as tCL does not have a direct impact on performance as far as I can find in testing...it is seems to only act a stability control. So lower is not always better. Also crazy numbers can be set on the tCL such as 0, 1, or even 50 which them seems to cause it to ignore the value and use what should be the default.

Second...actually this may be a bigger deal but I need further testing as I ran across this anomaly this morning. I am having to actually redo my softpowerplay table with using the custom timings. I hope others can test and verify. After applying the new custom HBM timings....I was finding I need to reduce my gpu core voltage for more stability...as well as more performance from the core. With the tighter timings...I appears to me at this time..I could reduce the max core clock for the same or better performance.

 

^^ Yup, the situation is that we have Wider Bandwidth and thanks to this we can lower our GPU clocks !
Im Playing games with my new HBM2 Tweak and BFV is stable and more towards LLT Gaming (low latency) (Ultra/High is used)
If stable then leave it (save & load on restart -> Done)

Note:
You have OclMemBench to test if gain is there (2s and You know it)

IMhO this is one of the best ATI Tools right now (along with OverdriveN )
