If you have a recent computer with UEFI, the display could be on your native resolution. As long that you see in device manager that you have a "Standard Vga adapter" that mean the GPU was removed.

OK, thanks for reply, I did wonder what section was best.
In my un geek like mind it could be any number of issues .. I just wanted to know if Windows was doing a sneaky on me by putting Microsoft's version of the GPU driver .. and causing conflict.

Thank you so much for your software and help! :)

Moff to the Nv driver section to tell my confused sordid story of hardware hiccups.

I've tried or a few time on insider previews and did not encounter problems.
But I advise to be careful if you try as I only did limited testing on a non final OS

Hi, I used DDU in safe mode (safe + network):

Selected NVIDIA then: Clean + Restart.

The driver is still in Windows when I restart the PC.

    Am I doing something wrong?

    Thx in advance.

Check if it's not windows update that reinstalled the driver. You can also email me the log located within the DDU folder at wagnard28@gmail.com

This happened to me yesterday as I uninstalled all Nvidia programs in programs files ( I wanted to clean up old files and reg).
I didn't use DDU but maybe this helps none the less. I did disable WU so it couldn't DL and install the driver. I first uninstalled HD audio and PhysX which needed a reboot on each to clear, then I did display driver and again rebooted.
After about 30sec before I could install new driver I see windows installed drivers, but if you looked at program files nothing shown, but Device manager does, so I installed new drivers and then check DiverStoreExplore and I see 2 entries for NV, one with "Nv_dispi.inf" and one "nv_dispiwu.inf" and I think the last is from WU and that was what it installed.
I do clean out old ones but being the naming is different DiverSoreexplorer doesn't mark it as old, guess should have removed that one first.

Anyway, though it might help others I normally never run into this and guess most user either if you just use NV installer.
