Seems most people have adopted to Windows 10 now. Windows 7 is shrinking every week.

Steam OS is nowhere to be found, other linux distro's are far more popular. Pretty much a fail like their steam link and steam controller.

Even if SteamOS doesn't show in the chart, Steam's Proton API is hidden in plain sight.

Rather more people use SteamOS or any linux OS then windows. I really don't want to use Windows anymore.

    >linux
    >free
    >light=fast

If everyone moved over to linux I'd be using Lubuntu right now. Especially since development for classic shell stopped.

Technically you don't need to activate Windows 10 to use it...You just get an annoying watermark and some options disabled lol, but nothing that stops you from fully using the OS.

I just use whatever has the best compatibility for my games an apps.

It's hard to decide, what's worse? The console wars, storefront wars, general brand wars, japanese pop idol wars, shipper wars or OS wars? Or is the answer something simple such as the word "stupid" because it applies to all of them.

I really liked Windows 7 for it simple and clean interface. Windows 10 is ok with classic shell, but the damn thing is constantly updating it seems.

Well, Windows 8 was pretty much the ME/Vista of modern Windows.

Windows 10 is gaining ground. More and more poeple like it even if they screw it up sometimes.

Don't rely on steam charts for valid os base data.

Windows 7 is still slightly ahead or equal with 10.

To be honest, i really like 10 - Still have struggles with my LAN asking me password and such all the time.

It used to be so simple to have a LAN and share stuff before.
Since win8 (or was it 7?) they've added this whole layer of homegroup and what not, i've still have struggles with printer queues getting stuck etc...

I considered it the low point of modern Windows. It's because of 8 that I shied away from the PC and focused on mobile (bought several tablets and believe that mobile was the future). Windows 10 was like old coke, bringing back the classic desktop with a start menu (albeit with Metro tiles).

I've had some issues with network shares when using my Microsoft account. I've since added an offline user and can access resources without issue. No issues with my printer.
