XIII - Remake coming 2019

Haven't found much info, but did find this trailer...




Also, no word on where it will be available on PC.
Kind of sucks that these days we have to question were a PC game will be available at.
But, oh well, XIII is brilliant and I've always wanted a sequel.

 

Now that was a fun one, believe it ended on a cliffhanger too so yeah a proper sequel would be neat at some point.



Project IGI I believe is seeing a revival too, good news all around or at least for some of these older franchises.

 

Though the original graphic novels go way way past the original game, which go up to 23 volumes while the game covers the first 5 (the tv series covers the game then goes its own way), so it for sure needs a sequel to get through all that material.

I think it's made by playtronic, so maybe they got the rights to the game and plan on continuing it.

I know it's a remake.
I was saying I've always loved XIII and wanted a sequel, and hope that this does well enough to continue the story and do more then what we've already experienced.

I get that how I phrased it wasn't very clear.
Posting while doing other things, didn't really say it how I meant it.

Basically ties into what I said above, posting this thread while at a Dr appointment.
So...
The developers list Occulus on their site, but I missed where they said they are working on 4 separate projects. So, there's nothing specifically stating it's related to the XIII remake.

 

Was an awesome game.
It was on GoG for a short time, but when Ubisoft's license expired it was removed from GoG (IIRC).

And now... it's nowhere to be found digitally.
I would love for the original to make it's way back to GoG, Steam... UPlay... something.

 

It has issues, I recall some missions being overly hard if you didn't stealth (nevermind the story ending on a cliffhanger) or go the exact route the developers intended. Also I believe not knowing where to go to advance the game was common. I played it a good 5 or so times but its been at least a decade since then.

I remember playing this one back when it came out. I'll definitely be getting this if not for nostalgia alone.

They said in their statement they were going to stay true to the visual style of the original, while updating animations and other elements.
So, I'd say so.

In fact, removing the cel shaded art would be a massive mistake that would kill their chances in the eyes of most fans.

 

That awkward feeling when you have never heard about a game labelled as a cult one...

 

XIII is great. Really an underrated game if there ever was one.

Oooh still remember this one! Another fps where stealth was perfectly done. Abs loved sneaking around and surprising guards with those throwing knives hehe. >)

I think you could also take them hostage and use them as shields iirc.
