What driver version are you using? Is this original B2 or the newly released update that could have changed graphics pipeline stuff? I heard there is a new AA option now, maybe that is messing with flags?

New versions are DX11 I think so no AA.

I think OG BL2 might have been broken at some point or needs AA fix on or off. I remember someone having a similar issue a long time ago. Dont' recall what the issue was or if it was fixable. I don't have that game so I can't test it.

    Using 419.67.

The only option in game is still FXAA. Though there is a TAA line in the INI file, but setting that to True disables all Anti-Aliasing.

But more seems to be broken when using SGSSAA, it causes the inventory to have like 5 FPS and breaksnthe weapon icons.

Must be the new update causing all this.

    BL2 is still DX9 actually.

Borderlands 2 0x080000C1 flag + AA fix on still seems to work well for me - 1070 Ti, 419.67, Windows 7, Borderlands 2 Ultra HD Texture Pack installed.
Inventory performance is a bit rough (~60fps at 4xSGSSSAA, ~30fps at 8x), but it looks fine.

    Gameplay no AA
    Gameplay 8x SGSSAA

    Inventory no AA
    Inventory 8x SGSSAA
(SGSSAA / LOD bias actually seems to have fixed a texture glitch on a weapon icon here)

FXAA and DoF cause some aliasing and blur if enabled, but don't seem to break anything.

    EDIT: Nvidia Profile Inspector settings

I found a mention of the same issue from 2014, so it predates Windows 10.

Well i dunno then, maybe it's my game... even though it's a fresh install.

This is what it looks like for me.

I'll just stick with FXAA + SMAA Injector.

    (Windows 10 Pro 1809 with 419.67 on a GTX 1070)

Posting a screenshot of your BL2 Inspector settings would be more useful.
Did you remember to set "Antialiasing - Behavior Flags" to "None"?

Did set those to "None" yes.

    EDIT:

    Okey i fixed it.

It seems the Red Cel-Shading is due to running the game in WindowedFullscreen. As soon as i switched to Fullscreen it went back to normal.

UE3 seems to have issues with borderless and windowed modes.

Also: You may try 0x08000041 with just MSAA and see how the performance is. May give a decent middle ground to smooth out the cel shaded outlines and performance...though in many recent games forcing MSAA by itself often seems to drag performance down the same or only slightly less than SGSSAA.

When i switched back from Fullscreen to WindowedFullscreen the problem remained gone as well.

That said, i notice another issue with SGSSAA enabled.

Notice the lines in the bottom left area.

Is the AA fix on or off? It may be a conflict with one of the game's shaders. (AO for example). And you are sure it doesn't happen without it?

I've edited the entry for BL2 to mention not starting the game in Windowed/Borderless.

AA Fix ON - 4 Lines
AA Fix OFF - 1 Line

Inspector AA OFF - No Lines

    FXAA ON - No Lines
FXAA + SMAA ON - No Lines

I used SGSSAA before with BL2 about 2 years ago, and don't remember those lines. So it's probably related to a game update or changes to Nvidia Drivers since then.

Two things i can try, disable AO and the HD Update.

The lines seems to be relelated to the ingame Ambient Occlusion.

Not surprising. You may still be able to inject HBAO+ or use Reshade AO instead. But with SGSSAA performance may not be acceptable.

Did you try forcing MSAA with the flag I mentioned earlier to see if it worked and whether performance was acceptable?

0x08000041 doesn't seem to work for me.

I tried some HBAO+ flags, but none of them seem to work.

HBAO+ is kind of like Whack a mole. Gotta try em all sometimes if you don' get lucky.
And darn usually that's the flag that gets MSAA working in just about every game.

I guess Driver and Game Updates through the years messed with BL2.

It's fine, i'll use FXAA + SMAA Injector.

Or i can run DSR, just annoys me that messes up the taskbar icons :p

Anyone know of any AA flags that work with Ultimate Spider Man?

I've searched this thread and found the posts for getting SSGSS AA onto Sonic Racing Transformed, but I still notice anti aliasing at the main menu with all the floating islands.
Has anyone found any useful alternatives to get SSGSS AA working with it?

    Hello guys

I am trying to get Custom DSR Tool to allow 8k resolution but everytime I click "Create DSR resolution" my screen goes black and then back to normal, and resolution is still 1080p on the settings in Windows and DSR in Nvidia control panel is still 4x only. I had edited the registry file too with:

    "SmoothScalingData"=hex:01,00,00,00,21,00,00,00,01,00,00,00,40,9c,00,00,40,9c,\
    00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,\
    00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,\
    00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,\
    00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,\
    00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00

So does this not work anymore or what? I would like to take 8k photos in a particular game.

SGSSAA doesn't work particularly well in this game from what I remember. I would try using driver OGSSAA ( I think I remember using 1x2 mode looked decent)+ a little bit of downsampling maybe .

Are you using Windows 10? If you check the sticked DSR post there's a link to a new tool released that seems to work with Windows 10 and you can just manually type in the resolution you want.

Looks like he updated it for Win 7/8 too. I haven't tested the new version in 7 but it has worked for me in W10
