"UPDATE 3/28: Many games that use anti-cheat software have released fixes for the issue causing PCs to bugcheck (GSOD). The upgrade block that prevents Windows Insiders from updating to the latest build will be removed soon."

Looks like this will be lifted to RTM just like you said. I solved my problem with installation by doing a clean install. So far so good.

shouldnt be rtm but probably will GPEDIT for disabling Windows Defender and other things like Edge settings do not work and UAC notifications randomly turn themselves back on after you set them off. Buggy dump of a build but surely will be RTM as the more bugs the better chance of rtm

It's final. A CU will fix the few bugs left..

Yeah it's probably going to be this build with the Windows SDK out now also matching this version and then perhaps within a week or so we'll likely see the first cumulative and what that might fix.
It's fast but there's going to be some glitches and issues and some will be fixed and other stuff will end up in 19H2 and the current ongoing sandbox (How fitting.) that seems to be the focus for 20H1 also in skip ahead now. :p

Still preferred the yearly cycle or maybe reduce the feature stuff and keep focus on bug fixes and ensuring the current things are actually all implemented tested and bug free or near bug free but I guess that's not happening until they change the project lead for this OS and perhaps some of the management. Ideally a project for Windows 11 and totally gutting and redoing the kernel and code and cleaning up the spaghetti mess but yeah that's a multi-year project ha ha.
(And no guarantees all the compatibility bits and extras wouldn't just slowly creep back in and we're back to mess of code particularly with workstation and application compatibility and all that stuff that can't just be discarded.)

Start crying peasants if this goes RTM. I am a proud insider, far passed through this buggy build. It is good, but it isn't eligible for RTM. (At least is better than hellish 1809)

Those who dreamt of living 1607-1703 smoothness allover again, goodbye.

I'm right at the point where I need to reinstall windows. Should I install this build or reinstall 1809? BTW what is the build number for the rtm? Want to make sure I got the right iso.

I was in your shoes yesterday and decided to go with this build. I'm sure even Microsoft doesn't know the exact RTM build number yet. At this moment, this is the closest thing we got and it has been in all rings expect for Insider Release Preview. Also it has no watermark or timebomb. If you're currently on a functional version of windows just pick a right ISO from the link in first post, download and run it. Alternatively, you can make a bootable USB drive with a version you need.

Anyone else have thos random bug with this build to add to the others. Sometimes usually the first time after boot you go into the settings app then go to apps it just force closes the settings app. Sometimes it works sometimes it crashes?

I installed it and so far I'm liking it a lot more than 1809. Can't really seem to find anything wrong with it. Tiles finally load fast again.
