When overclocking it wont matter at all. The extra two pins on an 8 pin are just grounds. They simply tell the PSU that the 8 pin can/should be able to handle more watts (150 vs 75). But overclocking can easily exceed those ratings to the point that they are the same. And with GPU Boost, this point is nullified even further.
Guys please don't flash different BIOS freely from different models. They may have a different PCB and you may lose functionality for things like fan controls or display ports. Maybe later on they'll have an editor. Unless it uses reference design/stock PCB and you know for a fact that the BIOS is just holding it back then go for it! Otherwise you're just taking a blind risk.
Got my Card in today take 2 first one died after 10 days now have samsung memory and latest bios good signs ! ps merry christmas folks
You guys are lucky to have those 2070's. I would be happy just to have anything better than my current 8800gts as money is tight for me right now.
Run GPU-Z and it will tell you the memory modules you have on your GPU. It will be under "Memory Type" in GPU-Z. https://www.techpowerup.com/gpuz/
Newest Beta of AB allows higher than +1000 memory overclocks (for Turing): https://www.guru3d.com/files-get/msi-afterburner-beta-download,34.html "- Extended memory overclocking range for NVIDIA GPUs having higher than +1000 memory clock adjustment limit in NVAPI (RTX series)" https://forums.guru3d.com/threads/rtss-6-7-0-beta-1.412822/page-82#post-5621274
Just wanted to say that My Geforce Windforce 2070 RTX Runs just fine. Fortnite in 1440p = arround 110fps BattleField V in 1440p high + RT on low = arround 60fps Rocket League in 1440p max = 144FPS steady No crashes or whatsoever so far.
After my first card died I have a new one just did a stress test in 3dMark and got 99% on the framerate stability not bad I think Greetz Base
Hey all. Just wanted to asked a quick question. Would a RTX 2070 be a worthy upgrade for my GTX 1070? I can get the MSI Duke 2070 for $425 and was thinking of grabbing it(A buddy has one brand new). Good idea? Thanks for any input. https://www.msi.com/Graphics-card/GeForce-RTX-2070-DUKE-8G-OC
For that price, I would say yes. Assuming you read the reviews and are OK with the performance gain over the 1070.
True for dx12 falls behind 1080ti 5-10% in dx11 titles always 1080ti standard clocks vs 2070 oced gpu+cpu but very strong against 1070.
Yeah at stock 2070 is slightly faster or even with 1080, but in some areas, especially Vulkan performance, a 2070 may beat a 1080 Ti even. Turing has a huge perf boost vs. Pascal in Vulkan.
Anybody here running the Evga GeForce RTX 2070 Black Gaming card? How is micron vs. Samsung memory overclock? Which mhz does it boost to without manual overclock? How far were you able to overclock it manually? How much Mhz can you go up on the core and the memory? Thanks in advance. https://www.evga.com/products/product.aspx?pn=08G-P4-1071-KR
What about the Evga Geforce RTX 2070 Black Edition? Anybody here got that one? https://www.amazon.com/EVGA-RTX-207...RTX+2070&qid=1552269799&s=gateway&sr=8-3&th=1
Dont forget that most of the cards with 1600 ish clocks are not A cards, also the best tdp card by power is the gigabyte gaming with 280W on the bios, that will give you more OC headroom.
