    I'll pass. 25.x means wddm 2.5, I'm not interested in those.

    Why?

    It shows their testing should be relevant to all hardware.

    No. It shows that they clearly classify i7 7700 as a stronger gaming solution than ryzen 1800x/2700.

    It is not, if You use Fast DRAM :D
    For example, my 1700 at 3.92GHz or 4GHz with fast RAM (now @ 3500MHz CL14 1T GD Stable settings) is more than enough for 1440p Gaming.

    Sometimes even I don't understand AMD/ATI ;) :eek:

    For relevance, as most users' systems are Intel based after all. IF they were to use a Ryzen, many would be scratching their collective heads and wondering how it's relevant to their Intel based systems. It's only, like two years back when AMD released their Zen architecture CPU's (and are slowly crawling back to grab a higher share of the CPU market), so it's for certain most are Intel user. Hell, I'm an AMD fanboy and I'm still using three Intel systems....

    Im possitive that 7700k bottlenecked the Radeon VII initially when they tested it and still does it. Ryzen 1700/2700 will smack it but like @mikeysg most systems are still Intel based so its not that strange.

    With Zen2 i think they will stop Intel system for their testing (like the rest of us) snap! :D

    I am sure that an amd ryzen with ultra fast ram is a much better gaming cpu than an old i7 two gens behind.

    AMD should promote their gem more. I would never personally promote my product with competitor's help.

    I have a fury card and this has been happening for some time, the mouse cursor dissapearing, for me it happens mostly when coming out of monitor stand-by, I remember not happening with early 2018 drivers, but after summer I updated and it has been happening since, a workaround is to enabe cursor trails.

    There isn't anything really important in the profile file for this, they have a new profile for Steam and it' VR Service but that's the only change.

    There are some INF changes though mostly for support for some additional workstation GPU's from what I can tell.

    AMD6995.1 = "AMD Radeon Pro WX 2100"
    AMD6985.1 = "AMD Radeon Pro WX 3100"
    AMD67E3.1 = "Radeon (TM) Pro WX 4100"
    AMD67C7.1 = "Radeon (TM) Pro WX 5100 Graphics"
    AMD67C4.1 = "AMD Radeon (TM) Pro WX 7100 Graphics"
    AMD6868.1 = "Radeon (TM) PRO WX 8200"
    AMD6861.1 = "Radeon (TM) Pro WX 9100"

    Oh and this is new.

    [ati2mtag_R7500_SoftwareDeviceSettings]
    HKR,, PP_DisableI2COnVR, %REG_DWORD%, 0

    The R7000 is Fury and R7500 I think is Vega.

    And then AMD uses [ati2mtag_Vega20_SoftwareDeviceSettings] for the VII GPU. (It has some other settings though the above wasn't added to this card series.)

    PP Powerplay I assume, Disable I2C and on VR?

    Some compatibility thing I guess then, I2C some controller or sensor perhaps?
    More reading required. :D

    EDIT: Well there's a driver for it so some controller then. Hmm perhaps something more low-level for these and then why is it disabling and what is it disabling and why for VR.

    Well there's probably some reason they have it though it defaults to 0 so not always enabled.

    Hmm wonder if that ties into the Steam VR service profile in some way, maybe!

    <application Title="SteamVR" File="VrWebHelper.exe">
    <use Area="PXDynamic">HighPerfGPUAffinity</use>
    </application>

    Web helper? So Chromium? Browser acceleration problems? Eh just guessing but maybe not have the GPU blast out at P7 state for it or what it might be helping with hah.

    I noticed after installing 19.3.1 under Display settings that Radeon FreeSync was "Not supported". To enable Radeon FreeSync I had to enable Virtual Super Resolution first. Has anyone noticed this?

    I think back when they started the program the 7700k was quite a popular CPU for benchmarks. Changing the CPU now requires them to do all the testing again with the new CPU to get a new baseline scenario.

    Wow, the cosmetic #ID_STRING16# bug that has been bugging me since 2017 finally seems to have been fixed.

    I just give 19.3.1 a try coming from 18.12.1 driver, since it seems that they fixed Alt+Tab Delay, but on my Vega64 became unstable/unusable. I was unable to run Metro Exodus Benchmark, the clocks just keep jumping all around 400~1700 MHz and I get like 3~4fps.. tried to play R6Siege and it was impossible, to much lag.. Back again to 18.12.1

    Am I missing something? I read somewhere that could be someting like Chipset drivers (I have the latest available on AMD webpage instaled, 18.x.x)

    Good driver so far.... IMO we will have it in WHQL soon.
