I don`t see the DSR problem with certain monitors on the list to be fixed. So can we assume the DSR issue has been finally corrected with this driver? As well, I noticed there is now an issue with Metro is crashing intermittently while using DX 12 with this set in the list of stuff needing to be fixed. Not sure I want to try these until that 1 is corrected.

Just permamently disable it in "services".
Why do you need it running in background?

nVidia Display Container LS needs to be running to access the desktop nVidia display control applets.

But you can start the service to do the changes you need to do and after disable it again.

Which monitor? I had black screen problems with xl2730Z @144Hz freesync, but 120Hz freesync would work fine. So, I ended up fixing it by creating custom frequency of 143Hz. Apparently nVidia's implementation has a problem at 144Hz freesync with my specific monitor.

Hope this helps you as well.

    GeForce.com forum URL.
    https://forums.geforce.com/default/...lay-driver-feedback-thread-released-2-22-19-/

In addition to the PDF notes these can have addition or more detail on the known issues.

    And PDF for comparison.

So that means these are also a thing beyond the PDF entries.

    ""

    Issues and updates:
2079538-Random DPC watchdog violation error when using multiple GPUs on motherboards with PLX chips -> Use the following tool to enable MSI mode as a temporary workaround (only apply changes to each NVIDIA GPU installed):
    https://github.com/CHEF-KOCH/MSI-utility/releases

2107201-Cursor shows brief corruption when hovering on certain links in Firefox/Steam

2449346-The Witcher 3 will BSOD with Bad Pool error randomly during gameplay

200494429-Metro Exodus: Random game crashing in DX12 mode

2512505-Metro Exodus colors look over saturated and blown out when DLSS is used together with HDR

200496099-NVDisplay.Container.exe High CPU usage issues -> Please see the following:
    https://forums.geforce.com/default/...iner-exe-high-cpu-usage/post/5993822/#5993822

    ""

Firefox one is mentioned in the PDF but the URL also covers that it applies to Steam as well. (Chromium in general perhaps too?)

EDIT: There, think I got it sorted now. :)

EDIT: Let's add the fixed issues while at it. Post is a bit messy but the quotes should work well enough.

For those who have the cpu usage issue, running the nvslimmer utility and installing the bare minimum fixes it. Ie just the Audio driver, gpu driver and physx.

Also those anyone actually use 3D vision?

That's not a fix, instead you are not installing the container app.

It was on a list of monitors that were tested and supposedly worked but it doesn't seem to work very well. the freesync range is 40-60fps. I've ordered a different lead (dp 1.2). Not happy to be honest, I only bought this monitor because of freesync, my 1080ti can't sustain 60fps in some of the games I am playing right now. :(

Sorry about the text size! I don't know what this is happening. :s

I don't need the other features. With that solution the control panel works and that is enough for me.

I use Nvcleanstall and with the bare minimum, I do have 2 instances of NVDisplay.Container.exe, but not LS one.
    NVCP works fine.
I don't do this for cpu% but to just get rid of stuff I don't use.

What Windows Version do you use? It seems that only the lastest Insider Builds have the high CPU Usage Problem with the LS Container.

That cursor corruption happens in chromium too. Steam is chromium after all. I see it in Vivaldi (chromium 72).

I get black screens in vivaldi with recent drivers, I hope a fix comes for 10 like windows 7 users got. I've reverted to 417.71 for now.

I see, I was thinking it was more customized but I guess it's not then and they update to newer versions occasionally for things like security fixes. :)
But it should also mean it's a higher priority issue for NVIDIA to fix with how prevalent Chromium is nowadays so there's that at least.
