AMD PCI Express (3GIO) Filter and PCI Bus Driver requires manually updating.

Many of them are from 4/2017

 

Hmm yeah well hey looks like I forgot about the new chipset drivers I extracted SMBUS driver from my install, ver 5.12.0.38 dated 04/17/2018 - there was a new chipset update. Been updating these reasonably regularly for years now.

Tested and install fine on Win10 64bit on my (am3+) 990x chipset as always.

Don't know what's changed if anything at all, worth a post hopefully let me know if useful or not.... hopefully not just AMD placebo driver again

Audio bus driver 18.30.0.0000 - some people mentioned it does not update properly but it does on mine. If you need it here it is: https://ufile.io/myzgn

 

Getting slightly more offtopic but AMD Sata driver = terrible for SSD's. I found I gained massive throughput on Intel SSD's using the standard Win10 one some time back (as you prolly know Win10 standard Intel driver is auto incremented with Win10 even although the ver. no's don't seem to change)

Why is all this detective work necessary... couldn't we just have 100% perf. out of the box typical PC stuff I suppose where's the fun in it when it becomes an Apple experience eh?

 

Noticed that Radeon Software Adrenalin Edition 18.10.1 Driver has changed the location of the following two folders that hold the drivers for the PCI Bus and the High Definition Audio Bus:

• amdkmafd - High Definition Audio Bus
  
• amdkmpfd - Pci Bus

They are now located in the following path: C:\Windows\System32\AMD
The previous path location for the two folders: C:\Program Files\AMD

It was a bit of a surprise since it's been in the previous location for a very long time.

 

18.45 is the PCI bus new driver for 18.10.1 WHQL

If You have BSODs or instability, like me for e.g. in BFV (don't worry 19.2.2 is good driver)
Just install Older PCI Bus
1st. All package from 18.10.1810 -> https://www.amd.com/en/support/chipsets/amd-socket-am4/x370

2nd. then Update in Device Manager (PCI bus & AMD SMBus)

Played BFV today -> smooth & stable.

UPD. after 19.2.3
Now it's OK, just install new driver & should be fine.
19.10.0 working OK with new AMD SMBus.

 

The above links are these only for the stated x370 chipset or use for like fx based stuff as well?
