for me it was the new version of afterburner with the oc scanner,, if i used the scanner then the drops happen on all games but if i just set my clocks manually as always its fine

fifa is good also, also do you set max pre rendered frames to 1 in fifa profile in nvidia control panel?

also set vertical sync to adaptive that way you will get 60fps in menu and replays or more if you have higher refresh rate

Yeah, did a bit of digging and you're right - it's garbage. It was apparently only included to make them sell better and it's barely baseline level of implementation. Borderline trading standard violation. I've ordered a new one, a BenQ EL287OU - apparently it works pretty much perfectly on this monitor and it has the HDR I was asking for in this thread:

    https://forums.guru3d.com/threads/is-there-such-a-thing-as-a-4k-hdr-monitor.423787/

For £300 problem sorted! I hope!

I'm getting over 120fps with my 2080Ti in RE2R DX11 @ 3440x1440p on the MAX graphical preset. The only thing that drops my FPS below 100 is when I turn rendering quality up past 100%.I am getting an Acer Predator X27 in tomorrow so I'm curious to see how the 2080Ti handles 4K HDR. I doubt I'll hit the monitor's 144hz refresh rate.

Few days ago I tried these drivers 417.71 and 417.75 as well just to try if I still will be getting TDR in Octane or Daz3d IRAY and Blender Cycles but looks like with both drivers I'm getting same TDR in best case or BSOD, strange is TDR or BSOD I'm getting only with RTX 2080Ti not with Pascal GPUs(tried all 3*GPUs GTX1080Ti with 2113MHz, GTX 1080 with 2164MHz and another GTX1080 with 2100MHz), tried stock OC etc but still same

Tried like single RTX 2080Ti in Octane or Daz3d IRAY and Blender Cycles and TDR or BSOD has happened with both drivers

Probably due this I will stay with Quadro drivers for time being

    Hope this helps

    Thanks, Jura

No such issue with 471.71 & 471.75 and currently stick with 471.75. Can you describe properly what unstable did you mean?

So RE2 works flawlessly in DX11 on freesync, but is a mess on DX12.

Yeah I noticed weird FPS issues with DX 12 in RE 2. At first I was shocked by how much worse performance was, then I turned v-sync off and the FPS shot up (still not equal to DX 11). So I just leave the game on DX 11, don't see any reason to worry about it. DX 11 and 12 in this game look exactly the same (as far as I can tell), just DX 12 runs worse (10+ FPS dips or worse vs locked 75 FPS/v-sync)

  8. I think that the problem is not a game related but it is the driver that is not a game ready. Last game ready was last year on December for DLSS for Final Fantasy XV

DX12 is WIP in RE 2, it's not a driver issue.

  10. You're right, but from tomorrow will be released several new games and demo, for example Ace Combat 7, God Eater 3, Far Cry : New Dawn, Metro Exodus , Beta for The Division 2, etc.

@ManuelG what are you wanting for one new driver??

Crashes Final Fantasy 14 constantly, went back to that Vulkan driver and not a single crash.

Look like a standard Screen Space Reflection.

That makes no sense, since (I know maybe off topic) the Xbox One/S/X got the Freesync Feature implemented (Even the first Xbox One with just HDMI 1.4) And all the consoles are just having HDMI, there is no Display Port at all. So why they restrict it like that for PC users?

  15. Maybe a new driver coming soon?

A new driver is certainly coming soon, between GTX 1660 launch and Metro Exodus and Far Cry New Dawn.
