Which gpu?

Hi,

Hoping you may be able to help, I'm not looking for flame thread but really unsure which gpu to go for.

I've stuck with nvidia for ages, I have gtx970 but looking to upgrade, but I love pushing dsr up for gaming to at least 2k, which gpu should I go for to at the latest games on max graphics to play either 1080 or at 2k?.

2080ti just seems to be a rip off for cost but really have no idea about amd.

Any advise please.

I wouldn't get anything less than 1070ti for 1440p. 2070 is the best choice I guess, but you'll be paying extra for, as of right now, near useless features like raytracing and dlss.

 

Get a 2070. It should be enough and it wil last you longer than 2060.

 

Wait a couple of weeks for the market to settle, there's new AMD cards coming out early Feb.

 

I will suggest you to get RTX 2070 or GTX 1080 whichever you a at good price. Those GPU are sufficient to handle all modern titles at 4k with good frame rate

 

You can play at 2k with 1060 6GB.

 

You can but 1060 isnt really powerful enough and dont have enough vram for 1440p.

 

how much are you willing to spend and where do you live? Answer these and we can have a look at what's available.

 

2070 is the pick mate, futureproof for a while too
