The question, is the driver compatible with Freesync 2 HDR? My AC Odyssey refuses to enable HDR and Freesync simultaneously. For now, I prefer HDR with V-sync at 144Hz over non-HDR Freesync.

I have seen reports for one of the freesync 2 panels. It needed a firmware update and it worked. I think it was the Samsung model.

Hold on a minute, i have Assassins Creed Oddessy and i thought HDR was a console only thing. I know i can't enable it on my RX480, it is greyed out.

My panel is Samsung C49HG with the latest firmware preinstalled, indeed. But still, no go. :(

Yup. The HDR worked in 417.58 driver, but it isn't now. It's mess a bit, but any change in driver/monitor Freesync/G-sync settings requires deleting of the ACO settings.ini file. I guess, I'll just skip the driver for now.

I am happy to see you now have your answer from :
"NVIDIA To support VESA Adaptive-Sync Technology, GSYNC Compatible" thread.
May you test HDMI, if that enables Adaptive-Sync too on same screen? My AW2518HF on AMD's platform enables full range on both DP and HDMI.

I just want to clear up some confusion on using the Free-Sync/G-sync settings. First enable Free-sync on your monitor, then download the new Nvidia package and install it. It will then "read" your monitor and enable G-Sync selection in the control panel. If you downloaded the files already just enable Free-sync on your monitor and it will take a few moments for the package to read your monitor. In 3d settings it will show up as-- Monitor Technology and give you 2 choices to select. Then go down under display you will see -Set Up G-SYNC. Open that and enable what you need to. Good luck on it working on your monitor!
So I just wanted to add that setting up your G-Sync if it says this is NOT a certified monitor, you have to go back in to 3D settings and enable "fixed refresh". Then make sure both boxes stay checked under display/G-SYNC. For some reason my G-Sync became unselected under display after enabling fixed refresh.

i think its not working with my Samsung Freesync monitor.I just ran Windmill demo test and its saying in the demo that freesync not supported. But my screen blink for a second when i activate freesync from monitor menu.In nvidia driver gsync is checked. My gpu is gtx 1080 and Display port 1.2.
    Help

Try testing with Pendulum. You can also enable the "GSYNC ON" flag in NVCP.

Sure, i can do the test, just saw your reply now :D sorry for the late reply!

Yeah , it is pretty much amazing that it works, and it works better than the one with the G-sync module!

Will report back once I tested it with HDMI
