Since updating to this I can rarely get through a round in bf5 without a driver crash on my 970. Going to revert back to my previous driver (417.35) and see if it goes away

Running this driver since release, Yesterday I'm playing BFV and notice my FPS was ~ 40 FPS lower, long story short. I tried everything including resetting graphics, Clearing Origin cache, deleting shaders. None of that fixed it. Used DDU and rolled back to the 417.22 and that fixed it?

I didn't install the 417.35 drivers because random crashes to desktop and one blue screen with them in BFV.

The new drivers seem focused on the 20 series cards.

Installed these yesterday (RTX 2080)...fps on most games I play has improved slightly (Squad / Assetto Corsa)...other users are reporting the same.

  4. Looks like it comes out a day earlier..

Look the Steam page of the game

Belgium here, release on the 25th.
Preload might be coming, so far, to much speculation however.

That is weird, I installed these right when they were released and I play BFv at least 3-4 hrs a day, seem solid for me.
Are you guys using the new Gsync compatible mode, maybe that is the issue?

No issues here with GTX1080ti running BFV. No crashes or lower fps.

I'm a fidgeter, I constantly change ingame setting and some setting in the driver got stuck maybe? I really don't understand how this could happened. I do not use a g-sync monitor. I've never seen anything like this before. Probably never again, and honestly am guessing it was a perfect storm of occurrences.

No problem with the 417.22 though.

Ok, the only other thing I can think is I use an fps cap in BFx series with the config file. I set it depending on game load so BF4 is like 120 and BFv is 60fps. I set it so fps are like 95% flat line and my OC on the 970 is not maxed, I run around 1455, maybe if I removed the cap and ran 1502 I to would have problems.
I found 1450-1470 range the sweet spot for my GTX970, no voltage added and runs cool (60c).

I guess the hotfix might fix this.

    Hello,

Found some bug with this release of nvidia driver that i like to share. I've uploaded a video here in detail. Please watch. Also note if freesync is working properly, the fps should auto cap to your monitor max refresh rate even with vsync turn off and no frame limiter.

Hey @Yuzuha welcome to the boards. Nice video you put together.

Question is, who changes their exc. fullscreen / windowed / fullscreen windowed settings all the time, or who changes Gsync settings once they're enabled... not really sure that bug is a big one since you'd have to take steps to reproduce it that normally don't happen during regular usage. I'll check it out though.

Did you read the article ?

''Thankfully, though, Capcom’s latest title can run with constant 60fps on a variety of GPUs on Max settings. In 1080p, our AMD Radeon RX 580, Vega 64, NVIDIA GTX980Ti and RTX2080Ti were able to run the game with more than 60fps.''

I went after your statement, not the article. And while indeed most systems will be able to handle 60fps, it's a shame that's the target. I tried the demo and compared to Resident Evil 7 it runs a lot worse. So a driver is very welcome to try making it run at even higher framerates.
