Yeah I do. I'll try without the overlay but ignoring those freezes, I didn't see any performance boosts from using DX12 anyway. Maybe GFE overlay gimped overall FPS beyond those apparent freezes, don't know.
It doesn't have any visual improvements over DX11, right?

upd#2 scratch everything I posted previously. Did a clean install of WHQL drivers with DDU without installing GFE and I'm getting the same freezes and long loading times on DX12 (like double the loading time of DX11). It does give me like 10fps more on average in-game but the constant freezes are not worth it, I'll stick with DX11 for now.
Might be that game just doesn't like my old hardware in DX12 mode.
upd#3 tried running around in DX12 mode again after dropping some settings and the game just crashed with DXGI DEVICE HUNG error after about 30 minutes.

Back to 399.24 driver. Any 400 series gives me an annoying flicker (at random intervals) on my monitor - ROG pg279q. Does not happen with the 399.24 set.

I have this random screen flash too with any of the 400 series driver. Happens mostly in youtube, using firefox. It's usually black bar across the screen for a split of a second. Monitor - Dell alienware aw3418dw.

Currently using 417.22. No other complains.

Same here on my Acer Predator XB271HU.
Seems to only happen with G-Sync enabled.

Yup, what I was thinking buddy, a G-Sync problem indeed, and both these monitors use the same panel and module.

Only error i get is when i sometimes i close the game. Failed to open pcx64..

To get rid of any dxgi error is to update directx in this pattern

    dxwebsetup
    dontnetfx35setup
    then dxwebsetup again.

Never got a dxgi error again and i have the rtx 2080 ti (samsung memory)

I did this with a fresh install of windows 10 ent 1809

Kind of an update to my Rise of the Tomb Raider DX12 experience I guess.
Game worked fine in DX12 mode for a few days after my initial post, with GFE running in the background, Instant Replay enabled and whatnot.
But yesterday it started crashing and BSODing my system again. Same errors every time, game crashes with DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG and I get a KERNEL_MODE_HEAP_CORRUPTION blue screen either right when the game process exists or a few minutes after.
Don't even know why the game suddenly ran fine for a few days but started crashing my system again, didn't change any settings or anything at all really.
This happens on both WHQL and Hotfix drivers (I tried installing WHQL back when I got my very first crash).
