If you're having spontaneous stability issues and freezes during scanning on selected GPU sample, you'll have it with ANY tool. No need to continue please.

I was just pondering the possibility that having a 980 Ti as a PhysX GPU might somehow be affecting the ability to run the scan. I'm a bit confused on what the topic of the thread is. My issue isn't caused by Afterburner. But is this thread about AB or the scanner? Ha ha. ;) Thought I am sure it does get very tiring having your software blamed for issues caused by other software/drivers/apps/etc etc... PEBKAC

Called it. I just removed the 980 Ti and the scanner starts just fine. Now I can spend several hours rerunning benches to see if having the 980 Ti installed had any detrimental impact on 3D benchmarks... just for the sake of science...I doubt it. My bench runs are always right up there....It's been almost a decade with just one GPU in a system...I hope it doesn't get lonely....;)

I'll have to see if this is stable. It wants to set the curve at where it boosts to 2100 at 1.050. It doesn't mess around.

    Same problem here.
Windows 10 64bit updated and last Nvidia hotfix installed.
Let me know if you found a solution....founded.

    Create a "NVSMI" directory on
    C:\Program Files\NVIDIA Corporation
    Like this..
    C:\Program Files\NVIDIA Corporation\NVSMI
And then copy on it the nvml.dll taken from the \Windows\System32
    Fin.

(Also I think +10 on voltage doesn't do anything, last time I tested only 25% increments of voltage made any difference, if I recall correctly).

Is it possible to add a import and export function to "custom voltage curve" for future releases?

I did set +78 after it and it worked.
So I ran OC Scanner again and this time it came with a +70 and the game also ran (for a longer period), so not sure why it didn't work the first time.
Might have been the game itself, though never had it before.

Please read the posts above, it is plain wrong approach and you should never use scanner this way.

hi all, is there a Skin for afterburner that's a little less flashy? something more like classic windows theme maybe?

Oh I only set it to +78 for test, for the scanner I used the curve as it had found (just as the post/screenshot here above), no alteration from me.
Thanks for the heads up anyway.

    Hi @Unwinder

I can only confirm that, in my case scanning will freeze PC and result in black screen and this will happen like with MSI Afterburner or EVGA one

Not sure if its down to multiple GPUs 4 in total (I have RTX 2080Ti and 1*GTX1080Ti and 2*GTX1080) ,did tried with single RTX 2080Ti on Asus Maximus X Formula and 8700k and scanner did work

Anyway mate, you are done great job on this and really appreciated for yours work on this there

    Hope this helps

    Thanks, Jura

I'm not sure why you're addressing this to Unwinder. It has nothing to do with him as he's tried to make clear repeatedly.

When i use the scan feature on my 1070 it saves the curve but once i exit MSI AB and open it again it gets back to default values. What am i missing here? Do i need to save a profile or something else for the curve to stay applied all the time?

I did that but i need to apply it every time i start MSI AB. Can't it be applied automatically?
