The Nvidia Titan RTX just went live on the NVIDIA website, the professional targeted graphics card was announced two weeks ago. The card holds 576 tensor cores and 72 raytracing cores, slightly more than the RTX 2080 Ti with it's 544 and 68 values respectively. Read more
Would be interesting to see just how well it performs in comparison to the RTX 2080Ti. At double the price tag, you’d expect double the performance of a RTX 2080Ti. Although I highly doubt it.
A pure one thousand bucks difference. Besides the e-peen and superiority complex, what does it really offer against 2080ti in all apps and games compatible I am interested to know about.
just the title of being the best (current) GPU on the market, though i assume it's only between 5-15% better depending on the game... which for an extra $1000 makes this one of the worst price per performance cards ever made i reckon
Not sure about the deep learning but it is definitely born for deep pockets. Well I'll go get a real BMW for this money rather than the GPU to play.
Could be wrong, but believe i read somewhere that nvidia justified rtx2080ti's pricetag was that they was moving away from titan. So the ti was somewhat what titan was previous. And titan would be prosumer, like volta? Anyways, hope prices will normalize in the future. We need competition in the gpu marked. Nvidia har had the throne for to long..
So if it had had all the perks titan v has as a different gpu it would cost a another grand and half. Cheap card. I won't buy this trash gpu. I want a real titan combining the benefits of Volta and Turing architectures at 4-5k€$£.
Pretty sure this GPU includes a 50%-off coupon for a frontal lobotomy. The odd thing is that nVidia increases the value of the coupon to 75%-off if you have the procedure done before deciding which of their products you wish to buy and what you want to pay for them. (Ice-pick wielding physician must certify his results.) Hmmmm...maybe not so strange at all...! I think I'll pass, though *cough*
Hmm wonder why the doubled tensor performance with very few physical differences between this and the 2080ti? 2080ti tensor performance is just software crippled then?
True value for money there probably, cmon Cowie buy one Prepare for next ngreedia launch, prices starting at 2000.
Yeah, 2080Ti is software crippled in various ways. Titan RTX can be run in TCC mode and it also gets various Quadro features for professional app acceleration. It's a good price for a card if you're a machine learning hobbyist or want to do professional graphics work but don't want to pay for Quadro pro support.
Different architecture, bigger chip, leading to 13,5 times more performance in double precision (fp64). In all other aspects titan rtx is superior including vram. So, each to his own. If you need titan v features rtx titan is tremendously bad. The same goes the other way around.
